*WHAT IS PRAYER?
*Prayer is an “awareness” of God and a response to the presence of the sacred in our lives; it is talking to God and listening to His voice.
*WHERE DO WE MEET GOD?
*1. In ourselves: We are created in God’s image to represent Him on Earth.

*2. In others: St. John says: “Those who say “I love God” but hate their brothers and sisters are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God who they have not seen.”
*It is easy to see God in some but how about the poor?

*MEDITATION
*Medidation is when we dwell on the mystery of God and when we sit in silence.
*PRAYING WITH SCRIPTURE
*The bible is used for prayer when we read and reflect on what is said.
*COMMUNAL (CORPORAL) PRAYER
*This type of prayer binds us together with God.
*“Where two or three of you are gathered in my name, there I am with them.”

*The Eucharist is where we celebrate the greatest gift of receiving Jesus.
*TRADITIONAL (SET) PRAYER
*These prayers are what has been traditionally passed down the Church over the years. They may include the Lord’s Prayer (Our Father), the Hail Mary, and more.
