Anti-Heeling SystemThe anti-heeling control system is used to detect the heeling angle of the vessel and to rebalance the ship automatically by pumping ballast water from starboard to port or vice versa.

Ballast Water Treatment SystemAllweiler’s type approved Optimarin ballast system (OBS), is based on solid separation (filter) as pre-treatment and high doses of UV irradiation for inactivation of marine organisms. System components are flexible; the installation is normally in the pump or engine room and in close proximity to the ballast pumps.

Cargo SystemAllweiler deliveres cargo handling and liquid mud systems for supply vessels. For the last 30 years Allweiler has been developing fully integrated systems and all supplementary components.

Bitumen SystemSystem delivery includes standard seal flush units, starters, frequency converters, control systems and electric motors and source pumps with a variety of capacities. Allweiler’s bitumen system is highly adapted to the workhorse duties associated with asphalt tanker operation.

Anti-Heeling SystemPurpose designed for the shipping industryCapacity up to 3000m3h

System focused AW-AHS-00The development of AW-AHS-00 has been a collaborate approach, encompassing the needs of our shipping customers, establishing dedicated in-house configuration and engineering teams, designing, producing and finally delivering the right product for the right application. AW-AHS-00 is a stand-alone ship control unit for the automatic or manually pre-controlled heeling operations when loading and unloading vessels. It can be integrated in any kind of ballast system.

Full control:A high performance anti-heeling system, AW-AHS-00 gives your ship full list and trim control when encountering hard turns, high winds, or an uneven cargo load. Used to detect the heeling angle of the vessel, the system enables continuous loading or unloading while rebalancing the ship automatically by pumping ballast water from starboard to port or vice versa.

Easy to use:The anti-heeling system is operated from a panel in the control cabinet or on bridge or remotely from IAS. Pumps will start and stop in accordance to automatic operation settings and can be controlled manually. Start angels can be set from 0,5 – 5 degrees through an inclinometer.

Pump efficient:The integrated AW-AHS-00 system uses designated Allweiler ALLTRIM pumps and assigned valves for anti-heeling operations. The system works with a reversible pump. The complete system includes the master, the optional slave electronic unit, the mounting plate with heeling-sensor, the pump and two level switches for low tank level.

Type approval:AW-AHS-00 is type approved by DNV and Lloyd’s Register of Shipping. It is also optional available with an EX approval (EX ll 2G Ex de IIC T4/IP66).

ALLWEILER - ALL FLUIDS. NO LIMITSALLWEILER is globally recognized for fluid flow innovation, new technologies and an uncompromising range of pumps and system solutions to the shipping industry. Our leading experience in the field of marine pumps, backed with tried and tested engineering, forms the solid basis for the development of our new anti- heeling system, AW-AHS-00.

Pneumatic Actuator In ships, valves and actuators are submerged into the ballast tanks. Traditionally shipbuilders used hydraulic actuators for these applications. However, due to more stringent environmental legislation a solution less hazardous to the environment was developed (in the event of leakage, hydraulic oil could spill into open water). We have created a pneumatic system, comprising of pneumatic control applications and pneumatic actuators. (Hydraulic actuators can be delivered on request.) Allweiler uses a high-thrust, multi-spring pneumatic diaphragm actuator for direct or reverse action - easy installation and field reversible without additional parts. >>No risk of oil spill in the event of leakage>>Lower Installation and equipment costs

Heeling-Pump Start Box The Pump Start Box provides “pilot duty” operation for all types of electrically driven pump equipment. It is fully compatible with all 110 volt or 220 volt, single phase pumps, 3/4 HP through 2HP, and all 24V controllers.

InclinometerAn inclinometer is an instrument for measuring angles of slope and inclination of an object with respect to its gravity by creating an artificial horizon. It is also known as an angle indicator.

ALLWEILER Anti-Heeling

Anti-heeling systems keep ships upright during loading and unloading. The anti-heeling pump moves water from one tank to the other, maintaining ship stability during uneven cargo loading and unloading operations.

The ALLWEILER ALLtrim pump is fitted between flenges in the pipe, which means no foundation is required.

The ALLtrim pump is cooled with the pumped water, which means no additional cooling air is needed in the confided space. Furthermore the pump can be started and stopped without the danger of overheating.

The pump has few mechanical parts and no gear box.

Butterfly Valve Lug The system’s standard butterfly valves are suitable for high pressure loading and are excellently suited for use in demanding ballast operations. The SIP-13LT butterfly valve features absolutely tight sealing with reversable flow. Many on/off isolating valves are mostly in the full open position and therefore should have high KV figures to reduce pressure drops, increase ballast efficiency and contribute to reducing ship energy costs. The valves body and parts are accurately machined which results in low operating torque and long service life and reliability. The unit is maintenance free and achieves excellent flow characteristics.
