EDITORIAL
Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything. George Bernard Shaw
“We Keep moving forward, opening new doors and doing new things because we are curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths” Hello everyone, we the member of editorial board welcome you to the third issue of Pharmavoice with a new year 2018, new hopes, new commitments and the willingness to move further to achieve something better. “Strive hard, believe on yourself and have some faith”; these three things are responsible for GPAT success and our 11 students achieved this success by passing all the hurdles came in their path. We are born to keep and maintain our nation’s safety, security and development and this motto of NSS has been fulfilled from our student’s NSS camp at Hivre and other regular activities. Because of their social work they kept an example in front of other students to make our earth as green as possible by planting the trees. “Happiness lies in the joy of achievements
and the thrill of creative efforts”; very well said by
frankelin. The way students did the hard work they
find the way to enjoy their life. And they very
enthusiastically celebrated the Spandan; an annual
event of our college which rewarded our student for
their great efforts in student life. As the sun comes
it has to go away for the next fresh day; in the same
manner our students have to go to start their career
with fresh knowledge. Our final year student had
their farewell party and gave their juniors a set of
example. The message conveyed to them was “No
matter how long you are going and how much you
are achieving you have to keep yourself down to the
earth and it is the key to the success”. So all the
passing students we wish you all the very best in
your life.

DID YOU KNOW: Bananas For Cancer
Bananas are not just tasty; they’re also highly
nutritious. But the big question is, “are you eating
them at the right time?” Eating bananas when they
are fully ripe or with black spots can provide your
body with a whole lot of nutrients. In fact, a fully
ripe banana contains high anti-cancer properties,
that’s amazing!
Its important to note that fully ripe fruits are chock
full of minerals, vitamins, and essential cancer-
fighting phytonutrients. Moreover, such fruits also
contain a high concentration of necessary enzymes
that aid digestion. According to a group of Japanese
researchers, the black spots on fully ripe bananas
indicate that they contain high levels of a substance
known as Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF), which kills
cancerous tumors.
The big secret is for you to allow your bananas to
ripen fully – maybe you should leave them on the
counter for longer. Doing this will give a significant
boost to their antioxidant levels, and when you eat
them, you’ll get to have a stronger immune system
and higher white blood cell count. It’s also good to
point out that yellow bananas with black spots are
eight times more effective at boosting the cancer-
fighting properties of white blood cells than their
green counterparts. There’s no doubt that yellow-
skinned bananas are the truth!
The only source of knowledge is experience. Albert Einstein

Effect of Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF-alpha) on Cancerous Cells-
Tumor necrosis factor is cytokine which is capable of inducing the death of tumor cells that could lead to
severe inflammation.
Its primary role is to regulate immune cells and direct them towards inflammation sites in the body.
TNF inhibits the growth and spread of tumor cells. It also triggers necrosis or cell death.
Bananas contain modest amounts of several compounds with know anti-cancer activities, including alpha
-carotene, beta-carotene, melatonin and dopamine.
Components of bananas have been shown to inhibit proliferation of leukemia and liver cancer cells in the
laboratory.
