Molzen Corbin based this proposal on the following Information:

• This is project will include a new Rodeo arena for NMSU's championship Rodeo team and related facilities.

The annual NMSU Spring Rodeo has won ",Rodeo of the Year" for 8 years straight. (an award given to the best rodeo of each region). Mother H.ubbard "ACTS''

The ACTS Scholarship Program is a non-profit 501(c)3 scholarship fund raising organization that provides opportunities for university students to experience "hands on" internships in their chosen fields. The program assists not

: only the collegiate performers by offering them openings for established acts when appropriate· but assists the students who desire positions. behind the scenes as well. Credit hours may be gained by working with the students' professors

1 in their related fields. Internships may enhance j majors such as bus i ness_, accounting,

marketing, hospitality services, and technical production. In some cases, housing and a stipend may be provided so that students are able to save money to apply toward their tuition.

• Champion # 2: .A·fter all of Barbara Hubbard's accomplishments she is still strivrng to build a venue that can serve the rodeo team at her beloved NMSU· and have a venue that has the fllexibility to bring in a variety of entertainment to the community.

• At the same time, Mother Hubbard is looking to build her legacy by having the appropriate mix of venues where NMSU can ~stab! ish itself with .a top venue management curriculum.
