What is NaNoWriMo YWP?

November 1st through 30th

We define a novel as “a lengthy work of fiction.”

Bringing YWP to Your Students

In the classroom: Students can participate in class with teacher resources such as lesson plans, workbooks, activities, a progress chart, and stickers.

In the school library: Invite students to write in the school library. Students can write together and follow progress on a school chart.

Independently at school: Provide resources so interested children can participate before or after school or during lunch, recess or free periods.

Independently at home and in the community: Give students information so they can participate from home or attend writing events at their local community library.

First five independent student participants from each community receives a complimentary starter kit.
