+The Staff, Notes, and Pitches
Music is written on a staff with:
5 Lines
4 Spaces
Much like your HAND!
Notes on the staff represent different pitches
Lines and spaces are numbered from bottom to top
So, the 5th line is on the TOP!!

+The Grand Staff and Ledger Lines
When both Treble and Bass Staves are connected by a brace and a line they form the GRAND STAFF

+Ledger Lines
Ledger Lines are used to indicate notes when we run out of room on the staff.
These can be used when a note is either too high or too low to be written on the staff.

+Class Activity: Name the Note and Pass it On!
First person names the note I write on the board
That person then draws a note and next person comes up to identify
Alternate between Clefs!! ( Ex. Treble then Bass then Treble etc…)
