1. The building we had before was not safe for us. We were scared that the roofing would fall upon us whenever it rains. My friends had to leave because they were scared. But with this new building, we are much safer. Our parents are now bringing their children to the school. People keep saying that the new building is good and that we should not go and even play in the old building any more. We now have new furniture and we sit two to a seat. In the old building, we had no desks and no chairs and our belongings were not safe. I pray that the MDGs will continue to do great work. - Razaq Samod (Primary 6 pupil, C&S Primary School I, Ayete, Ibarapa North LGA)
2. The trend in Oyo state is not different from what is happening in Nigeria. The MDGs’ impact has increased enrolment in public schools and completion rate has improved greatly. I can assure you that in five years with the help of the MDGs, Oyo State will be completely transformed.- Mrs. Mofoluke Olubunmi Adebiyi (Acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Economic Budget
and Planning/ Focal Person, Oyo State MDGs)
3. MDGs projects are good projects. We are enjoying their program. We are glad that these projects are not directly under the influence of anybody. The sites are objectively located. We appreciate this a lot. We want the program to continue in this LGA. Our people access and value these projects. There was a time when this LGA had a problem of water but with the help of the MDGs, this problem has been dealt with up to 75%.- Hon. Remi Akintola Olaide (Secretary, Ibarapa North LGA)
4. We are happy for the building they have constructed for us. The building we had before was bad. We had people come into the classes and desecrate them. There were no windows, no doors, our roofing was bad. The old building was constructed by the community. We are happy for what MDGs has done for us. We look forward to see more of their projects in our community.- Mrs. Ajagbe Deborah (Assistant Head Teacher, HLA Primary School, Apatere, Ibadan South East
LGA)
5. We thank God. The old building was built in 1954. The community is so happy for this building the MDGs have provided for us. Concerning maintaining the project the MDGs has given us, we are working on making sure this project lasts a long time. Even I, I am never far away from this school. Thank you MDGs.- Ishola Basiru (PTA Chairman, HLA Primary School, Apatere, Ibadan South East LGA)
6. This centre was inaccessible and unacceptable before to the people, because it was not neat, the roofing was bad and the building and beddings were not comfortable. But with the intervention of the MDGs, this place looks new and our patients comment on this and are ready to come to this centre. We thank the MDGs for their intervention.- Chief (Mrs.) Daramola M. A. (Matron, PHC Awodife, Boluwole Area, Ibadan South West LGA)
7. Since this borehole was constructed, we have had the people in this community rejoice. Now, it is a constant source of water supply for us. It flows all the time. When there was no borehole, the well I dug was where people around my area came to fetch. This water was not enough because it dries up when it is fetched and people still found themselves going some distance in search of water. But with this borehole, life has become easier for us all. Thank you MDGs. You have done well.- Mr Chris A. O. Ogunleye (Community Member/ Landlord, Eleyele, Ibadan North West LGA)
