Urgent Appeal To Help Prevent The Deportation Of A Sincere Convert And Zionist Yosef Kibita is from Uganda, and is a member of the Abayudaya community, which has practiced Judaism for a century. The Israeli government has refused to recognize Yosef’s conversion, done under the auspices of the Conservative/Masorti Movement. They had ordered him to leave Israel voluntarily, or be deported, but a temporary stay of several weeks has just been obtained from the High Court of Justice. There is still an urgent need for financial help so that every possible legal avenue can be pursued to prevent Yosef’s deportation. Thank you for helping: http://masorti.org/emergency-appeal-justice-kibita-yosef-abayudaya/ Please take a flyer outside for the complete message prepared by Rabbi Gordon Tucker.
