We are pleased to announce that we have been blessed with completing another ope-rational year, which starts in July and ends in June. The year that has just passed has been unlike any other - all praise and gratitude be-longs to Allah.

We grew our number of outreach specialists to 36, spanning 6 continents, sharing Islam to over 40 countries. As a result, and through Al-lah's will and mercy, we have been blessed with over 4,000 people embracing Islam. We also distributed almost 400,000 dawah materials to 100 countries.

However, it is not just about numbers. We are reminded about Nuh (peace be upon him) who tirelessly shared Islam with his people for 950 years with relatively few followers. Success and results are from Allah, we just have to be sincere and do the work.

Compassionately and intelligently sharing Islam with humanity is our task at hand. We believe this work is one of the most rewardable acts of worship. If one person became Muslim because of your support, you would get the reward of all of their acts of worship. This is

based on the following Prophetic tradition: "Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a similar reward." [Narrated by Muslim]

If this new Muslim gets married and has two children, you will get the reward of all of their worship too. This includes their charity, prayers, fasting and pilgrimage. You will see all of this on your scales of good deeds, insha’Allah. In fact, if you have been supporting us, you could get a lifetime of prayers, fasting, zakat, sadaqah and good deeds of over 4,000 people on your scales on the day of judgement, alhamdullilah.

We are pleased to provide you with a summary of what we achieved last operational year. We would like to thank all of our donors and supporters for helping us to make these achievements. We also believe this will inspire and motivate others to support us too.

May Allah reward you for supporting us and getting us closer to our vision: a world reconnected to Allah.

Our vision is of the Prophet Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him):

A world reconnected to Allah.

We believe we can achieve our vision by fo-cussing on individuals. It is through empowe-ring, developing and supporting individuals that bring about positive change. Individuals build and lead teams; create organisations and build relationships; engage in community work and deliver training programmes.

How many people initially went to Medina and Yemen? It was Musab-ibn-Umair and Muadh-ibn-Jabal respectively. They laid the groundwork for the populations of these places to embrace Islam.

We want to create the Musabs and Muadhs of today. Focussing on individuals involves, but is not limited to, the following:

Living in a devoutly Christiancountry with an estimated96% of people identifyingthemselves as Catholics —giving dawah has its obviouschallenges. As a former nunwho accepted Islam a fewyears ago, Nanci has beeninvolved in numerous dawahactivities to invigorate herpeople to understand moreabout Islam.

Speaking the indigenouslanguage of Guarani gives herthe opportunity to tap intothe most remote indigenoustribes in the world. Most ofthese indigenous people haveaccepted Christianity over thecenturies through missionaryactivities, however few ofthem remained true to theirindigenous beliefs. Throughher efforts, many peoplehave learned about Islam andsome have even acceptedIslam

With an increased interest ofIslam in North America, iERA’sdawah efforts are neededmore than ever — to enlighten our neighbours andthe larger community aboutwhat Islam really is and whoMuslims are. Leveraging goodrelations with fellow Imamsand chaplains as well as theMuslim and interfaith com-munity enables the Canadianteam to build alliances andopen doors for outreach.

With the help of Ali Usman(outreach specialist) and adedicated team of volunteers,Mustafa’s work includestalks to university students, street dawah, training, leadingmosque tours, feeding thehomeless, answering que-stions by school students(mostly about Allah, creation, and the problem of evil, etc.),helping those interested inIslam, and providing supportto new Muslims.

Having studied with an IslamicInstitution in Malawi, Qasimgraduated in Islamic Sciences.Along with being a fluent spe-aker in Arabic, he possessesa good knowledge of Islamictheology. This is essential forthe dawah in Malawi due to aheavy missionary presence.Qasim's knowledge alsoenhances the way the teamdevelop and support newMuslims.

Currently, a full-time iERAoutreach specialist in Malawi,he organises dawah on a dailybasis. He heads out to remo-te villages to positively engageand share Islam with them.

Our new Muslim development program-me is amongst the most important work that we do. Our programme in-cludes a welcome pack, local weekly classes, online resources and support, as well as a two four-day educational retreat programme.

Every year, thousands of people accept Islam and embark on a gra-dual journey of self-improvement and discovery. In some cases, with a supportive community or family behind them, it can be quite a smo-oth and easy transition. However, in most cases, entering into Islam on their own can be quite challen-ging. We are here to empower and provide them with a strong foun-dation, easing their transition into Islam so that they can become the best version of themselves, to be-nefit humanity and attain piety.

Our four day all inclusive residen-tial retreat empower new Muslims to grow in knowledge and build a deeper connection with Allah.Their day starts with fajr followed

by a prayer workshop designed to help them progress in having a deep and meaningful conversation with Allah each and every time they pray.

After that, classes, interactive work shops and thought-provoking bre-akout sessions will make them appreciate the true beauty of this religion both in theory and in practice as they bond with their fellow attendees.

This retreat is a rare opportunity to eat, pray and live Islam in an upli-fting environment, with a guarantee that when they return home, they are able to implement what they have experienced for life. For the new Muslims who cannot physically attend our retreats, we offer online classes throughout the year, where students can engage with the instructor on a weekly basis.

We also train mosques, organi-sations, teams and individuals on how to develop and empower new Muslims.

Having established two Islamic centres in both Bolivia and Honduras, we look at our first one that we opened in 2018 the capital of Tegucigalpa.

Currently, there are only about 1,500 Muslims within Honduras, which are mostly made up of immigrants heralding from either North Africa or the Middle East. When compared to the overall population of 10 million, the tiny Muslim popu-lation did not even have a single Mosque within the whole nation — something that in today’s day and age was inconceivable to our team.

The centre is located near the main Mall — in the heart of the capital Tegucigalpa — which is close to the main bus station, presidential palace and the national bank. Numerous people are out and about within the confines of this during the whole week and the high volume of footfall is directly outside the main entrance to the Mall. The centre serves as a permanent drop-in cen-tre for non-Muslims and a teaching centre for new Muslims.

There is a permanent install of iERA's Jesus Exhibition. The aim of the exhibition is to invite others to learn more about one of the greatest prophets of God. The local visitors are usually bemused because the pre-conception of Islam amongst Catholics and Evangelical Christians — is that it’s an archaic and ruthless religion where its followers are unwilling to adapt to the times. However, after meeting iERA outreach specialist Ayman Hammami and his team — their percep-tion of Islam quickly changes.

Muslims make up just 0.02% of the population of Bolivia. As a remote, landlocked country in South America, it has had little interaction with Islam. A small community of native reverts set up the first mosque in the capital La Paz, about 20 years ago. The mosque 'Jesus: Son of Mary' served the growing community of Muslims. Even though they were small in number, the Muslims reached out to spread the message of Islam.

iERA visited this community in Ramadan 2018 and saw an opportunity to make their activities much broader and effective. We set up a dawah centre, where we collaborated with the local Mu-slims to run it. The local community of Muslims and non-Muslims wholeheartedly accepted the project.

The centre serves as a full-time drop-in centre for non-Muslims and a permanent placeholder for the iERA Jesus Exhibition which is open to the

public. The centre holds open days which is atten-ded by a university student, Christian faith leaders and anyone curious about Islam. It serves coffee, finger food and Islamic literature free of charge to attendees.

As a result of the centre's activities, many non-Muslims learn about Islam where their common negative misconceptions are dispelled. Alhamdulillah, every month, approximately a few people accept Islam in the centre. The centre serves as a hub where new Muslims can meet up, attend classes explaining the basics of Islam and discuss some of the difficulties they may be facing.

Taking care of new Muslims is an essential and vital part of building, sustaining and growing the small community of Muslims in Bolivia, where the centre has had a significant positive effect on the Muslim community's life here.

This is our first mosque and we have decided to call it Masjid Hannah. A Jewish, Christian and Muslim female name that means affection and love. This is exactly what we want the project to achieve. The mosque project is managed by Sheikh Shamsudeen Stanbulli who is our full-time ou-treach specialist in Malawi. He has a very close relationship with the village.

Malawi is a unique country with its own challen-ges. There’s a massive missionary movement in Malawi. The Christian missionaries build churches and provide humanitarian support. This occurs within the backdrop of a communal and tribal atmosphere, unlike what happens in the West. In this context, the new Muslims will require immediate development and empower-ment. Additionally, in the context of missionary activity and communitarian social pressure, they will need to acquire tools to be able to convey Islam with compassion and reason.

In November 2017, our Founder Abdurraheem Green, and Global Outreach Manager Salahud-din Patel travelled to Malawi to provide training for the team in Africa, to facilitate outreach activities in various Malawian villages.

Since then, our team have visited Malawi four times and from all the grassroots work we've

done, we're able to account for over 1,500 shahadas!

Regarding new Muslim development, our main strategy is to train outreach specialists, to support the development and empowerment of new Muslims. However, the assumption behind this strategy is that the new Muslims will be Western. Typically in Western societies new Muslims tend to live in less communita-rian societies than the new Muslims in African nations. Communitarian communities seem to identify the individual as an entity linked to social obligations and attachments.

This context requires that we shift our strategy on new Muslims for Africa. In a communita-rian and tribal context of Malawian villages, developing outreach specialists so they can educate and empower new Muslims may not be adequate to fulfil the goals of maintaining an individual’s imaan (faith). What is required is a localised, community-centric approach. The development of new Muslims should be done via people and institutions that are perceived as influential and part of village community life.

Masjid Hannah continues to serve as an epicentre on the com-munity. With an imaam, the mosque is used for events for surrounding villages, to feed them, give them water and give the Dawah!

The materials we distribute were written and designed to promote a warm and intelligent case for Islam, in a style and language that is easy to comprehend. This year, we focused on the following topics:

• Life After Life • Making Sense of God • The Last Messenger • Jesus Book • Jesus Booklets • Eternal Challenge • Word of Mercy • Cards of Mercy • Know God, Know Good • The Man in the Red Underpants • Love of God • Forbidden Prophecies • Quran: A Short Journey We distributed over 391,239 of our dawah ma-terials to 125 countries in the world:

Our most popular materials last year was the new publication Life After Life, of which we di-stributed over 72,000 across the globe, accoun-ting for 18% of our annual distributed units.

Making Sense of God were still popular; we distributed 67,300 units, which over 17% of our annual distribution. The three new publications launched this year distributed over 190,000 units; these three publications accounted for

under 60% of distributions this year. Our most popular book was the Eternal Challenge, distri-buting 7604 units.

Sheikh Abdurraheem Green reviews all of our materials, provided free of charge, with custo-mers only paying for postage and packaging. We have also collaborated with teams and organisations across the UK to advance the prophetic mission. We regularly check on the progress with these teams to offer support on ways and methods to support the outreach work they are carrying out in their local community.
