Main SM in corporate use:
- Corporate standards of use- Rules and restrictions- Marketing use- Formal speech
Corporate SM - Spam-spam-spam?
• FB has 800mln+ of profiles:– fake and spam are10-15% of profiles – Fan pages and brands separately
• Twi has 200mln+ accounts – fake and spam are 50+% of accounts
=> People unfollow and unlike this!
HR late adopters – what to do?
• Be closer to people – create informal accounts• Start by watching them, follow them, like them• Which networks? Most used by people!
Twi – Step1: let’s start
• Create informal corporate account• Make sure you have contacts, description and
some content• Add it to B-cards,
signature• Attend and twi
EVENTS!
Twi – Step2: let’s use it!
• Do not massfollow people• Do not write (a lot of) formal corporate stuff• Be useful - Check out relevant # and answer ?s• Ask Twi accounts from all you have for
interview!
Twi – Step3: expand!
• Write funny/useful stuff – get RTs!• Mention => get mentioned

Twi – Step4: devirtualize with followers!
• Arrange an event, promote it in Twi
Twi – Step5: Sex, Drugs & Rock’n’Roll
• Be careful, limits exist
• Whenever you fail – fix this with Sex, Drugs and Rock’n’Roll!
Twi – Step6: hire!
• Be creative, do not post JOBS!

Fb – Step1: Page?
• Page:+ Corporate and marketing use+ Hiring and vacancies application+ Updates can be shared by people+ IS a professional way of using- Can not add people, chat, message, comment…=> No recruiting
…Or Profile?
• Facebook profile:- Not professional corporate SM way of usage- Posts cannot be shared- No page insights/statistics + You can comment, chat, send messages, add friends+ Alive person is behind the post!!!
=> You CAN recruit and retain!
Fb – Step2: Make them Add you!
• Add those you know/interview• Share albums, tag those you know• Post unique pictures (e.g. from events)
– have people tag themselves!
Fb – Step3: Pictures everywhere!
P.S. do NOT tag your employees ;)
Fb – Step4: Recruit kindly!
More SM in use:
• Blog ( post vacancies, stories, announces, reports, articles etc.)
• RSS /G-read (collect candidate’s blogs etc.)
• YouTube (post funny videos, interviews, events reports, office videos, make it alive!)
• LinkedIn a alumni group for EX-employees – keep an eye and rehire!
Keep in mind RETENTION!• Publish positive things about people leaving and
the reasons they left.• Publish positive clients’ feedbacks.• Pictures (and videos) everywhere!Þ Make employees ambassadors of the brandÞ Give them reasons to be proud (and share in SM)Þ Invest your time in people every day!
