Greenhouse gases are gases in the atmosphere that absorbs and emits radiation. Greenhouse gases help to allow Earth to continue to remain warm. Without it, the planet would be frozen over. Although, greenhouse gases can be a good thing they can also be a bad thing by causing to much heat.

Heat is to become hot or warm. Temperature and climate change revolves around heat itself. Things like clouds may limit the amount of heat that reaches the Earth, causing the temperature to drop.

Even we as people can affect the climate change. We can contribute to either global cooling or warming. Also volcanic eruptions and oceans have the same effect on the climate.

Climate Zones

According to the Koppen Climate Classification scale, there are 5 major climate zones. They are as follows:

A) Humid TropicalB) DryC) Temperate D) Continental E) Polar

The Humid Tropical climate is characterized by being winterless and having a constant high temperature

Something that can be found in the tropical zone is the rain forest which is a broadleaf evergreen forest.

DRY

The Dry climate zone is classified by the fact that precipitation is lower than potential evapotranspiration.

Deserts are found in the dry climate zones and they are the driest of all climates.

Temperate ContinentalThese climates have an average temperature above 10 °C in their warmest months and a coldest month average between −3 °C and 18 °C (

These usually occur in the interiors of continents, or on their east coasts, north of 40° North latitude

The Polar climates are characterized by average temperatures below 10 °C (50 °F) in all twelve months of the year.

The tundra is found in the polar climate realm and it is a treeless climatic realm that is dominated by a long bitterly cold winter.

Climate change is not always extreme, but when it is it can be devastating to the habitats of many organisms. The rapid change in temperature or weather patterns can be deadly to plants since they cannot adapt fast enough. Plant reproduction can also be affected by climate. When trees are cut down by people the area can become dry and lack rainfall, this leads to desertification. Climate change can occur with the help of human interaction. Increased temperature changes can also cause an increase in rainfall and hurricanes which lead to flooding. This flooding can destroy plant life because of erosion. Drought occurs from lack of rainfall and is also just as destructive.Coral reefs are decaying and losing color do to the rising temperature of the ocean.

The Effect on Plant Life

Polar bears are just one of example of the many animals effected by change in climate. The Biome in which their habitat is in is heating up. The ice where they hunt is melting which limits their ability to find food. When the temperature of rivers and oceans change fish will find other areas that are more suitable, when an animal from a different habitat enters a new one it can change the whole ecosystem for a group of animals. When forest and jungle rainfall reduces it can dry out and the creatures within them must move to other areas. This can pose problems as animals in certain areas run out of land that is habitable for them then they can become extinct. The decay of coral reefs, which provide many resources for fish, can lead to the endangerment of many fish species.

We Will Know The Effects of Global Warming on the Climate System

Global Warming is the rise in average temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere and oceans. There is a scientific opinion that humans are the reason for global warming and change in the climate. Scientists are 90% sure that Global Warming is the cause of rising greenhouse gases made by human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation.

Climate is the statistics of temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, meteorological elemental measurements over time. Evidence of climate change include high temperature records, rising sea levels and the low amount of snow in the Northern Hemisphere.

The future predictions for climate change and global warming include, more rising sea levels and more frequent and more severe extreme weather.
