YOUTUBE USER GUIDE

STEP 1- CREATE AN ACCOUNT

Go to YouTube and click “create account” on the top right of the page.

If you already have a Google account (i.e. gmail) then you may use this information to use YouTube. If not, then fill in the information on the page to create a new account.

Once you have filled in the information, you can add a profile photo if you would like to, otherwise click “next step” to continue.

YOU SHOULD SEE THIS SCREEN NOW

STEP 2- GO TO YOUTUBE TO BEGIN

Click the “back to YouTube” link to begin using your account.

In order to post your own video, you will need to record your video using a digital video camera and then save the video on your computer.

STEP 3- UPLOAD A VIDEO

Click the “upload” link at the top of the page.

Then click “select files from your computer” in order to choose a video to upload to YouTube.

STEP 4- POST YOUR VIDEO

Once you have chosen a video file to upload, you can enter information on the page about the video (i.e. name, description, location, etc…).

Now you may post your video and let the world see it.

STEP 5- MAKE YOUR VIDEO INTERACTIVE People can now comment on your video

on YouTube by logging on to their accounts and commenting below your video. Check your videos often so that you can respond to their comments and make YouTube an interactive an educational website.
