Faith and Family Workshop Our Religious Educa on Ministry would like to invite our faith community to a free one-hour workshop on Jan. 30 focusing on Faith and Family. This is the third of five workshops throughout the year that CFF will be sponsoring. Deacon Rommel and his wife Janice will be presen ng the workshop in the church star ng at 6 PM. No need to register. This work-shop is a good review for cradle Catholics and excellent infor-ma on for people interested in learning more about our faith.

2019 Parish Mission We invite you to our 2019 Parish Mission en tled “Road to Emmaus.” The mission will be February 11-13 from 7:00—8:30 p.m. There will be a different and separate session at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The presenters will be Dea-con Glenn and Linda Harmon. They have been in full me ministry for 27 years, giving over 500 parish missions and re-treats. They have shared the love of the Lord and their Catho-lic faith to well over 200,000 people around the U.S. and Cana-da. Their style of teaching and preaching is very prac cal and down to earth. They have personally experienced love, mercy, forgiveness, hope and healing of our Lord Jesus Christ. This mission is designed to strengthen our rela onship with God, our Church, and one another. Come prepared to be blessed!

TIME The holidays are well behind us; the year stretches out ahead. And what sort of year will it be? To judge by the words of Jesus in today ’s Gospel, it will be a year acceptable to the Lord. And Jesus surely didn’ t mean only the next three hundred sixty-five days facing his listeners at that me. When Jesus announced the arrival of God ’s favor, it was a mes-sage for all me, for every year. Similarly, we read today in Ne-hemiah how the people gathered with solemnity to hear God ’s word as though for the first me. They listened, and then fell to the ground and wept. But the prophet said, Today is holy . . . do not be sad, and do not weep. The year acceptable to the Lord is this year. The day that is holy is this day. The me to listen is now. What sort of year will you have? What sort of day? God ’s help is always here. What you do with each day can be holy and acceptable to the Lord if you only listen to and act on God’ s word. Ministry Highlight

What is the Elizabeth Ministry? The Elizabeth Ministry is an interna onal Catholic ministry in-spired by the biblical example of Mary and Elizabeth, to support and share the sacredness of all life! We minister to families ex-periencing a wide range of circumstances such as an adop on, pregnancy, the celebra on of birth, infer lity, miscarriage, in-fant loss, and other life experiences during these childbearing years. We provide the Infant Care Room during the Parish Fes-

val and we invite all to our annual Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Candlelight Vigil in October. We have available numerous resources for when a woman has been told her ba-by’s death is eminent including miscarriage kits, delivery/funeral planning, burial vessels/caskets and garments. We would like to thank the Parish for suppor ng our ministry through prayers, dona ons, and our wonderful volunteers. If you are interested in being referred to the ministry for support or you would like to join our ministry as a minister or to be apart of our meals team or both, please contact the church office by phone or our ministry by email to Celeste at [email protected]. Our parish community congratulates Jack and Lisa as they wel-come their son, Jack Joseph, born on January 12. If you would like a birth announcement in the bulle n, please contact the church office to be referred to Elizabeth Ministry.
