Selected by the Membership Committee of the Copley Society of Art, new members are accepted for membership only if their work is truly outstanding. This year, our new artist members represent a great diversity of backgrounds and genres, including multi-media, photography, and sculpture. To celebrate our New Members Show, an opening reception will be held on Thursday, January 11 from 5:30pm – 7:30 PM at the ColSo Gallery, located at 158 Newbury Street in Boston. Notable emerging artists include the Safarani Sisters, Iranian twin sisters, whose mixed painting and video art has garnered attention from the Boston Globe and the Museum of Fine Arts. Additionally, local artist Lori Mehta has received awards for her artwork featured in nationally juried exhibitions, and British abstract photographer Roger Palframan is utilizing innovative techniques to create striking images of rhythmic environments. NEW MEMBERS SHOW 2018 January 11 – February 22, 2018

The Copley Society of Art is proud to present “New Members Show,” an exhibition in the Upper Gallery that features the 22 new members accepted into the gallery in 2017.
