So near…yet so far. at is the heart of El Dorado Hills’ appeal as the perfect place to live, work, shop and do business. A 2016 WalletHub survey con rms what we already
knew: El Dorado Hills was the sixth best place to live in California.
Whatever your lifestyle, you’ll nd it here. Nestled in the scenic Sierra Nevada foothills, 25 miles from the State Capitol, this community o ers the convenience of urban amenities amid a backdrop of bucolic vistas and a wonderland of outdoor adventures—with the perfect year-round weather to enjoy them all.
For its 44,000 residents, El Dorado Hills is small, but the living is spectacular. Beautiful homes in a range of styles cluster in distinctive villages with pretty streetscapes, award-winning schools, neighborhood parks and dedicated
open space. Residents enjoy gol ng and lake recreation, miles of well-kept trails, their own library and aquatic center and a broad selection of organized children’s sports.
Business thrives here, too. Retail areas feature, boutiques, fast or ne dining, art venues, health clubs, movie theaters and more. An attractive business park provides an employment base for high-tech and international companies to friendly mom-and-pops.
Venture beyond El Dorado Hills and within an hour you’ll reach Sacramento, several universities and colleges, Folsom Lake State Recreation Area, El Dorado National Forest, casinos, museums and Lake Tahoe ski resorts—the lake itself is an easy 90-minute drive.
El Dorado Hills has prospered while never losing sight of the developer’s vision—rural and friendly yet sophisticated—in short, and as the survey says, pretty close to perfect.
El Dorado Hills residents don’t forgo convenient shopping for their rural lifestyle. Whatever they need—specialty items, everyday staples, one-of-a-kind gifts—they can find close to home in attractive shopping areas.
Quaint Town Center in the heart of the community draws visitors for its ambience as well as fine shops. Built around a small lake and anchored by Regal IMAX Cinemas, Town Center’s retail offerings include Big O Tires, Affordable Furniture, Cold Stone Creamery, Cadence Corner boutique & gift shop, Folsom Bike at Town Center, Talisman Collection Jeweler, Face in a Book independent book store, the family-owned Nugget Markets, and many more.
If you’re a farm-to-fork fan, you’ll appreciate the locally grown produce, cra s and treats at the farmers’ market every Sunday from May to October in Town Center.
On the south end of town, Montaño de El Dorado welcomes shoppers to a Mediterranean atmosphere of pretty plazas, waterfalls, fountains and replaces. Here you’ll nd BI Designs, Runway Boutique, 36 Handles Restaurant & Pub, Relish Burger Bar and Peet’s Co ee. To the north, Green Valley Marketplace and Lake Forest Plaza all house shops, restaurants, professional services and convenient parking.
e centrally located Raley’s Shopping Center o ers Wells Fargo, Sandra D’s, Bella Bru and Peet’s for co ee. A new Safeway center is being planned at Highway 50 at Bass Lake.
Welcome to El Dorado Hills!

Whether you favor an evening of haute cuisine and a Broadway show; a casual get-together over designer co ee and sweets, camaraderie and cra beers; or a quick meal and movie, you’ll nd what you’re looking for in El Dorado Hills. Although the community is rural, it has become a regional destination for ne dining and rst-class entertainment.
Restaurant options range from classical and international to familiar and o eat. Choices vary from Mexican-themed Casa Ramos and Cascada Restaurant & Cantina, to El Dorado Saloon and Grill, Sienna Restaurant, Bamiyan Afghan Restaurant and Bawarchi Indian Cuisine. e
Montaño de El Dorado center is home to 36 Handles Pub & Eatery and Relish Burger Bar. Town Center caters to every taste with Aji Japanese
Bistro, Pete’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, Bistro 33 and Ru aus Hot Dog Company. Bella Bru Café and Catering in the Raley’s
Center serves specialty co ees, eclectic food choices and mouthwatering bakery goods, and Big Apple Bagels provides breakfast and lunch in the Green Valley Marketplace.
Family favorites are here, too, such as McDonald’s in Town Center; Peet’s Co ee at Montaño de El Dorado; Steve’s Pizza at the Raley’s Center; Subway near the Lake Forest Center; and the locally owned perennial favorite e Purple Place Bar & Grill on Green Valley Road. Check out the map
on pages 22 and 23 to see where these eateries are found.Pair your dining experience with just the right
entertainment and a Regal IMAX movie complex anchors Town Center.
One freeway exit west is the exquisite Harris Center on the campus of Folsom Lake College, o ering world-class performances from national touring shows, along with local drama, symphony
and dance, including shows by the Folsom Lake Symphony and Folsom Lake Community Concert Association.
El Dorado Hills residents live at the gateway to a paradise of recreation and leisure activities, from outdoor pursuits and esteemed wineries to arts festivals, historic adventures…and much more. California opened one of its 17 Welcome Centers in El Dorado Hills for good reason: ere’s so much here to do.
Without leaving your neighborhood, you can golf, take in a movie, play or go to a music festival, dine in style, shop at specialty boutiques, walk scenic trails or attend a variety of local programs. e El Dorado Hills Community Services District runs a year-round schedule of sports, classes, camps and special events for all ages and operates an aquatic center and active senior center.
If you love the water, nearby Folsom Lake—the state’s most popular recreation area—beckons with swimming, sailing, shing, hiking, biking and camping. e historic American River entices the adventurous with the country’s most exciting whitewater ra ing.
A half-hour to the west is metropolitan Sacramento, and eastward, into the mountains, you will reach Apple Hill with its acres of fruit orchards, homemade pies and old-time family fun; two casinos, Red Hawk and Jackson Rancheria; mountain vineyards tended by passionate artisan winemakers who produce award-winning varietals; the pristine El Dorado National Forest; world-class skiing; and, nally, in little over an hour, Lake Tahoe, the legendary playground of year-round activity and exciting nightlife. History bu s won’t
want to miss Coloma, where gold was discovered, or Placerville, formerly “Hangtown,” with its authentic 19th-century Main Street.

FROM THE
Chairman of the Board
What’s InsideTHE CHAMBER DIRECTORY AND RELOCATION GUIDE
I am extremely honored to be serving as the 2017 Chairman
of the Board for the El Dorado Hills Chamber of
Commerce and I look forward to working with all of
you to make this upcoming year a very productive
and prosperous venture. On behalf of the Board of Directors,
our esteemed President/CEO Debbie Manning, the Chamber
“Dream Team,” Laura Newell and Sherri Pellegrini, and the
Chamber members, we sincerely thank our past Chairman
David Williamson for serving as a legendary 2015-2016 Board
Chairman. He has le me very big shoes to ll and I am excited to
continue his success.
El Dorado Hills is a stellar community. I am proud to both live and
work here. If we want our community to continue to succeed, our voices need to be heard, and that is
what the El Dorado Hills Chamber works to do. We advocate on behalf of our members to ensure the
strongest possible business climate which helps create a strong local economy. e Chamber’s mission
is to further the community’s business interests and to advocate on behalf of the business community.
e Chamber operates under ve core competencies, strengthen the local economy, represent
members with government, promote our community, provide our members business connections, and
to in uence political action. So how can you help us succeed, help keep our community strong and vibrant? e answer is an
easy one, think local rst. If everyone changed one buying habit from buying on-line or buying in a
di erent county, we all win. I hope I can count on you with this simple task. Together we can have the
ability to have one of the strongest and most vibrant communities in our State.
I look forward to a fantastic year and please remember to, “Keep IT Local!”—DAVID J. MAESTASChairman of the Board
