How to Make The Fishing Poles Supplies  1. Plastic or paper straws 2. String 3. paper clips 4. scissors 5. jewelry pliers 6. plastic embroidery needles Instructions 1. Cut pieces of string 3 times the length of the straws. 2. Thread the string into the plastic embroidery needle. 3. Drop the thread into the straws, leaving the length of the thread on one 

end. 4. Tie the two ends of the string on one end of the straw, leaving one end 

long. 5. Bend open the paper clip. 6. Tie the string on to the long end of the string. 

How to play the Game Set up: Fold the sea creatures and fish, preferably using recycled paper ( wrapping paper , magazines, catalogues or junk mail).Punch holes in the tails. Use hole punch circles for eyes and glue them on. Set up several platters on either end of a banquet table. Place pots in the middle. Put the fish in the platters.   Playing the Game:

 Players should try to catch the fish with the fishing poles or cranes with be beak folded into a hook and put them in pots. 

       

Player Invented Rules 1. The Guys against the girls 2. Kids against parents 3. timed catches 4. Two players catching a fish or sea creatures. 5. Who ever catches the most fish wins. 6. Everyone is a winner. 7. Who ever catches all the fish first wins. 

Variations on the game Hooks can also be made of paper, or with larger and smaller paper clips to make them harder to catch the fish. Loops of masking tape or holes cut into the tail, can aid in catching the fish. Dice can be made with extra hole punch circles glued on. Throw the dice. Match the eyes with the circles on the dice. To make it easier to catch the fish, shorten the string by wrapping it around the pole.
