ECAE has 6 specialized testing laboratories operated at head quarter, and 5 of them are accredited( Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Microbiology & textile) Radiation laboratory is in process to be accredited.

Inspecting the merchandise when it is packed and ready for shipment by pulling out random samples based on international sampling techniques verifying quantity, function, color, size, specifications, labeling details to make sure that requirements are met.

ተስማሚነት ምዘና ምንድነው?ተስማሚነት ምዘና ማለት ምርቶች፣ አገልግሎቶች፣ ቁሶች፣ የአሰራር ስርዓቶች እና ሙያተኞች ከተቀመጠላቸው ደረጃ፣ የጥራት መስፈርት ወይም የቴክኒክ ደንብ እና ሌሎች መመዘኛዎች መሠረት ተስማሚ መሆናቸው ወይም ጠቀሜታ ላይ መዋላቸውን መዝኖ ወይም ገምግሞ የሚረጋገጥበት የአሰራር ሥርዓት ነው፡፡

በተስማሚነት ምዘና ሂደት ውስጥ ማለፍ በርካታ ጠቀሜታዎች አሉት፡፡

ለሸማች፡ በሚከፍለው ዋጋ ጥራት ያለው ምርት/አገልግሎት እንደሚያገኝ እምነት በማሳደር የተሻለ የግዢ ውሳኔዎችን ለመወሰን ያስችለዋል፡፡

የተስማሚነት ምዘና ዋና ተግባራት የላቦራቶር ፍተሻ፣ ኢንስፔክሽንና ሰርቲፊኬሽን ናቸው፡፡

የላቦራቶር ፍተሻ፡ የአንድን ምርት/አገልግሎት ጥራት ባህሪያት ፊዚካላዊና ኬሚካላዊ የፍተሻ ዘዴዎች በመጠቀም ምርቶች/አገልግሎቶች የሚፈለግባቸውን የጥራት ደረጃ መስፈርት ማሟላታቸውን ለማረጋገጥ የሚከናወን ሂደት ነው፡፡

ኢንስፔክሽን፡ የምርት ንድፍን፣ ምርትን፣ አገልግሎትን የስራ ሂደትን ወይም የሥራ ቦታን ከተቀመጠለት መስፈርት/መመሪያ ወይም ከሙያዊ ምዘና አንፃር መዝኖና ገምግሞ ተስማሚነትን የማረጋገጥ ሂደት ነው፡፡

ሰርቲፊኬሽን፡ አንድ ምርት/አገልግሎት/ የአሰራር ስርዓት ወይም ባለሙያ ብቃት ቀጣይነት ባለው መልኩ የተቀመጠለትን መስፈርት ስለማሟላቱ የሦስተኛ ገለልተኛ ወገን የፅሁፍ ማረጋገጫ(የምስክር ወረቀት) የሚሰጥበት የአሰራር ሂደት ነው፡፡

ተስማሚነት ምዘና - Conformity Assessment

The main forms of conformity assessment are testing, certification and inspection.

laboratory Testing:- is determination of products or services quality features by means of physical & chemical testing to check if it complies or performs in accordance with the specified requirements.

Inspection:- is checking of products design, Products, Services and Manufacturing processes to ensure their conformity with specific requirement.

Certification:- is a third party license given for a Product, Service, System and persons after proving their conformance with the specified requirements.

ስለ ኢተምድኢተምድ በዋነኝነት የተስማሚነት ምዘና አገልግሎቶችን ማለትም የላቦራቶር ፍተሻ፣ የኢንስፔክሽንናየሰርቲፊኬሽን አገልግሎት የሚሰጥ ሲሆን በስሩ ከ180 በላይ ሰራተኞችን ይዞ በ7 ቅርንጫፍ ጽ/ቤቶች በመላው ሀገሪቱ የሚሰራ ድርጅት ነው፡፡

የኢትዮጵያ የተስማሚነት ምዘና ድርጅት ዓለም አቀፍ ተቀባይነት ያለው የፍተሻ ላቦራቶር፣ የኢንስፔክሽንና ሰርቲፊኬሽን የአሰራር ሥርዓቶችን በመተግበር ተዓማኒነት ያለው፣ ገለልተኛ፣ውጤታማ፣ ተደራሽና ቀልጣፋ የተስማሚነት ምዘና አገልግሎት በመስጠት ጥራት ያለው ምርትና አገልግሎት በመላው ሀገሪቱ እንዲኖር ማስቻልን ዓላማው አድርጎ የሚሰራ ድርጅት ነው፡፡

ኢተምድ በጥር ወር 2003 ዓ.ም በሚኒስትሮች ምክር ቤት ደንብ ቁጥር 196/2003 በፌደራል ደረጃ የመንግስት የልማት ድርጅት ሆኖ የተስማሚነት ምዘና አገልግሎቶችን ለመስጠት ተቋቁሟል፡፡ የድርጅቱ ተቆጣጣሪ ባለስልጣን የኢ.ፌ.ዴ.ሪ የሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ሚኒስቴር ነው፡፡
