Facts Earth is the only planet to hold
life Earth has many different plants
and animals. Earths revolution, or year, is
365 days Earths rotation, or day, is 24
hours
Earth’s atmosphere
Earths atmosphere is a layer of gases surrounding the planet that is retained by Earths Gravity.
This produces the green house effect, keeping heat on earth.
Seasons
•Seasons are a result of earth’s tilted rotation.•The 4 seasons are Fall, Winter, Spring Summer.
The Blue Planet
•Earth is made up of more than half water.•This makes earth appear blue from far away.
The Sun’s Role
Without the sun, life would not be able to survive or live on earth.
The sun gives living organisms energy.
gravity Earths gravity keeps objects from flying
off it’s surface. Earth’s gravity is more than the moon,
yet less than other planets.
Technology
Our technology has been increasing every day.
We now have ways to explore space, from the safety of earth.
With increasing technology we may be able to land on mars one day soon.
Transportation
We are developing new, faster, safer, and more economical cars.
The look of cars is changing to appeal to the consumer, and older models are also being brought back.
Going Green
With threats of global warming increasing, we are taking preventative steps to save our planet
Some ways of natural energy are wind turbines, solar panels, and water turbines.
