Ladder: shows what is on each page of the yearbook

Dummy: a drawing or blueprint of a page’s layout

Copy: the story or written information on a page

Gutter: the space for the binding of two pages

Headline: the title or identifying information

Pull-quote: a statement that is separated and printed in larger type

Folio: the page number—easiest way to incorporate the theme

Choose interesting, action shots. Use photos that tell the story of the group on that page.

Crop photos to eliminate distracting or boring content in the picture.

Make sure each photo has a caption.
