Christian love and sympathy is extended to Laura Gustafson on the loss of her father. These Days, daily devotionals, are available at the entrances to the sanctuary. Reception for Matt McCurry will be on Sunday, June 26 immediately following worship. Finger foods and light refreshments will be served. Plan to join us as we say goodbye to Matt. There will not be hospitality this day. There will be a congregational meeting on Sunday, July 3 for the purpose of voting on the sale of the Homes of Hope House at the price of $69,900. Summer Sundays – Mark your calendars July 10 Prayer Retreat at FCPC - Susanne Hassell, director of Holy Paths and author of Pilgrim Walk by the Sea and Pilgrim Walk in the Woods will be guiding the whole congregation in age appropriate activities on prayer. Adults will explore different types of prayer at various prayer stations (praying in color, praying for the world, etc.) Children will learn more about how to pray through fun activities such as games, crafts, and prayer stations. This festival will give everyone a great opportunity to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus in loving our neighbors in the Family Promise Program. We trust in God the Holy Spirit, everywhere the giver and renewer of life. The Spirit justifies us by grace through faith, sets us free to accept ourselves and to love God and neighbor, and binds us together with all believers in the one body of Christ, the Church. The same Spirit who inspired the prophets and apostles rules our faith and life in Christ through Scripture, engages us through the Word proclaimed, claims us in the waters of baptism, feeds us with the bread of life and the cup of salvation, and calls all women and men to all ministries of the Church.
