THE DAWN OF RADIANT BEAUTY
Please help keep our Sanctuary clean. After Mass on the weekends, if you could kindly tidy up your pew and the area around you. Our current cleaning service does not do this for us, so we need your help in keeping our Sanctuary looking nice. Oh, and don’t forget to take home your bulletins!
The “Lunch Bunch” formally known as “Senior Luncheon Group” wants to invite ALL Parishioners to join us for
some fellowship! We have scheduled monthly luncheons on the last Friday of each month after the 11:00 Mass
(with the exception of November and December due to the holidays)!
PLEASE JOIN US ALL ARE WELCOME!
THE LUNCH BUNCH
There will be NO choir practice on
Wednesday, December 26.
FOURTH SUNDAY OF ADVENT DECEMBER 23 - DECEMBER 29, 2018
“Your light will come, Jerusalem; the Lord will dawn on you in radiant beauty. You will see his glory within you.” “He comes, the desire of all human hearts; his dwelling place shall be resplendent with glory, alleluia.” The antiphons and prayers at the end of Advent speak with growing excitement and anticipation of the birth of the Messiah. Our Christmas liturgies and church will illustrate these texts beautifully. The Christmas Eve ‘Mass at Midnight,’ in partic-ular, manifests the radiant dawning of Christ’s Light. This place, inside and out, will be filled with glorious light – and hopefully, so will we!
All of us here in the office, together with our deacons, join together, in wishing all of you a joyous Christmas, filled with Christ’s Peace, the principal Gift of Christmas and the desire of all human hearts! Again, we rejoice over you and thank you for our kindness and generosity toward us and this wonderful parish of Saint Andrew and also our mission, Saint Mary, during this past year.
A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
Now, let us rejoice–all the days of this Christmastide, up to and including the Baptism of the Lord!
Praised be Jesus Christ! Now and forever!
Father Al

HOW TO REQUEST A MASS INTENTION
Those wishing to honor a loved one during the celebration of Mass—for the living or the deceased, or for prayerful re-membrance of anniversaries, birthdays, and other special in-tentions—may call or visit the office. Masses are usually scheduled months in advance, so if there is a particular date on which you want the Mass Intention, please make the re-quest well ahead of time. The suggested stipend for each Mass is $5.00.
LITURGICAL MINISTRY SIGN-UPS
can be found in the Foyer. Please sign-up for the
New Years Masses
ATTENTION: If you serve as a Liturgical Minister PLEASE arrive for Mass at least 10 minutes early and sign in on the sheet in the sacristy. Thanks in advance!
COLD & FLU SEASON
and COMMUNION
The flu and cold season
is underway. When we suspect illness,
each of us can help decrease the spread of illness by not receiving the
Precious Blood of Christ from the cup
during Communion.
The Social Events Committee is sponsoring a drive to supply the homeless with gently-used coats, gloves, sock hats, long under-wear, socks, and blankets. Please check your closets for anything you can give. There will be tubs in the foyer for the donations. The donations will be given to our local homeless population and any children's items will be taken to the local school resource centers.
