Bell work (DMR = Daily Math Review) Correct previous night’s homework and answer any

questions. Go over lesson together, take notes and do several

examples. Whiteboard practice (if applicable & time allows) Independent practice in book (this is the time that I

can work with small groups and/or individuals who need extra support and answer questions.)

If there is enough time at the end, I will let students start their homework with the remaining time.

Students should expect to have homework just about every night for math.

Homework will usually consist of a page from the practice workbook (front and back).

Homework is due the following day at the beginning of class.

Students correct their homework and have the opportunity to ask questions if there were problems that they didn’t understand.

Students will keep all of their math papers in their folder. Periodically I will have students empty folders into their portfolios.

If your child needs tutoring, you can email me to set up appointments.

The only exception would be if I had a meeting that morning, but generally I will be available.

We love when students use technology, especially when they are trying to get help. We will respond to student emails as long as the parents are CC’d on the original email.

We want to make sure parents are aware that their students needed help, and we also want parents to be kept in the loop with teacher response.
