well-protected,23A rewardfor whatthey used (to)do.

��24Notthey will hearthereinvain talkand not

��sinful (speech),25Excepta saying,`Peace,Peace.`

��26And (the) companions(of) the right,what(are the) companions

��(of) the right?27Amonglote treesthornless,

��28And banana treeslayered,29And shade

��extended,30And waterpoured forth,31

��And fruitabundant,32Notlimitedand not

��forbidden,33And (on) couchesraised.34

��Indeed, We[We] have produced them(into) a creation,35

��And We have made themvirgins,36Devoted,equals in age.

��37For (the) companions(of) the right,38A company

��ofthe former people,39And a companyof

�� the later people.40And (the) companions(of) the left,what

��(are the) companions(of) the left?41Inscorching fire

Surah 56: The event (v. 24-42) Part - 27

well-protected,

24. (As) a reward forwhat they used to do.

25. They will nothear therein vain talk orsinful speech,

26. Only a saying,`Peace, Peace.`

27. And the companionsof the right, what arethe companions of theright?

28. (They will be) amongthe thornless lote trees,

29. And banana treeslayered (with fruit),

30. And extended shade,

31. And water pouredforth,

32. And abundant fruit,

33. Neither limited norforbidden,

34. And on raisedcouches.

35. Indeed, We haveproduced them into a(new) creation,

36. And We have madethem virgins,

37. Devoted, equals inage.

38. For the companionsof the right.

39. A company of theformer people,

40. And a company of thelater people.

41. And the companionsof the left, what are thecompanions of the left?

42. In scorching fire


ÒÓ�- ¨àë¦�ó¦�̈ ° �Ç 756 ÏÔ -�öð¦Ø»¢øç�¾ ¢ë��

and scalding water,42And a shadeofblack smoke,

��43Notcooland notpleasant.44

��Indeed, theywerebeforethatindulging in affluence.

��45And werepersistinginthe sin

��the great,46And they used (to)say,` When

��we dieand becomedustand bones,will we

��surely be resurrected?47And alsoour forefathers?

��48Say,`Indeed,the formerand the later people49

��Surely, will be gatheredfor(the) appointment(of) a Daywell-known.`

�� 50`Thenindeed you,O those astray!the deniers,

��51Will surely eatfrom(the) treeofZaqqum.

��52Then will fillwith itthe bellies,53

��And drinkover it[from]the scalding water,54

��And will drink(as) drinking(of) the thirsty camels.`55This

��(is) their hospitality(on the) Day(of) Judgment.56We[We] created you,


and scalding water,

43. And a shade of blacksmoke,

44. Neither cool norpleasant.

45. Indeed, they werebefore that indulging inaffluence.

46. And they used topersist in great sin,

47. And they used to say,`When we die andbecome dust and bones,will we be resurrected?

48. And also ourforefathers?`

49. Say, `Indeed, theformer and the laterpeople

50. Surely, will begathered for theappointment of a well-known Day. ̀

51. `Then indeed you,O those astray! thedeniers,

52. You will surely eatfrom the tree ofZaqqum.

53. Then you will fillwith it your bellies,

54. And drink over itscalding water,

55. And will drink as thedrinking of the thirstycamels.`

56. This is theirhospitality on the Dayof Judgment.

57. We created you,


ÒÓ�- ¨àë¦�ó¦�̈ °�Ç 757 ÏÔ -�öð¦Ø»¢øç�¾ ¢ë��so why (do) notyou admit the truth?57Do you seewhatyou emit?

��58Is it youwho create itor(are) We

��the Creators?59We[We] have decreedamong you

��the deathand notWe(are) outrun,60

��InthatWe (will) changeyour likeness[es]and produce youin

��whatnotyou know.61And certainlyyou know

��the creationthe first,so why notyou take heed?62

��And do you seewhatyou sow?63Is it you (who)

��cause it to growor(are) Wethe Ones Who grow?64

��IfWe willedWe (would) surely, make itdebris,then you would remain

��wondering,65`Indeed, wesurely are laden with debt,66Nay,we

��(are) deprived.`67Do you seethe water,whichyou drink?

��68Is it youwho send it downfromthe rain clouds,

��orWe(are) the Ones to send?69IfWe willed,

�� We (could) make itsalty,then why are you not grateful?70


so why do you notadmit the truth?

58. Have you seen whatyou emit?

59. Is it you who create itor are We the Creators?

60. We have decreedamong you the deathand We are not outrun,

61. In that We willchange your likenessand produce you in that(form) which you donot know.

62. And certainly youknow the first creation,so why do you not takeheed?

63. Have you seen whatyou sow?

64. Is it you who cause itto grow or are We theOne Who grows?

65. If We willed, Wewould surely make itdebris, then you wouldremain wondering,

66. (Saying), `Indeed, weare laden with debt,

67. Nay, we aredeprived.`

68. Have you seen thewater, which youdrink?

69. Is it you who send itdown from the rainclouds, or are We theOnes to send?

70. If We willed, Wecould make it salty,then why are you notgrateful?


ÒÓ�- ¨àë¦�ó¦�̈ °�Ç 758 ÏÔ -�öð¦Ø»¢øç�¾ ¢ë��

Do you seethe Fire,whichyou ignite?71Is it you

��who producedits treeorWe(are) the Producers?72

��Wehave made ita reminderand a provisionfor the wayfarers in the desert.

��73So glorify(the) name(of) your Lord,the Most Great.74

�� But nay,I swearby setting(of) the stars,75And indeed, it

��(is) surely an oath,ifyou know -great,76Indeed, it(is) surely, a Quran

��noble,77Ina Bookwell-guarded,78None

��touch itexceptthe purified.79A Revelationfrom(the) Lord

��(of) the worlds.80Then is it to thisstatementthat you(are) indifferent?

��81And you makeyour provisionthat youdeny.82Then why not

��whenit reachesthe throat,83And you(at) that timelook on,

�� 84And We(are) nearerto himthan youbutyou (do) not see,

��85Then why not,ifyou arenotto be recompensed,86

��Bring it back,ifyou aretruthful.87Thenif

��he wasofthose brought near,88Then restand bountyand a Garden


71. Have you seen theFire, which you ignite?

72. Is it you whoproduced its tree, or areWe the Producers?

73. We have made it areminder and aprovision for thewayfarers in the desert.

74. So glorify the nameof your Lord, the MostGreat.

75. But nay, I swear bythe setting of the stars,

76. And indeed, it issurely a great oath, ifonly you knew,

77. Indeed, it is a nobleQuran,

78. In a Book well-guarded,

79. None touch itexcept the purified (i.e.,Angels).

80. A Revelation fromthe Lord of the worlds.

81. Then is it to thisstatement that you areindifferent?

82. And you make (it)your livelihood thatyou deny.

83. Then why not when it(i.e., soul) reaches thethroat,

84. And you at that timelook on,

85. And We are nearer tohim than you, but youdo not see,

86. Then why do you not,if you are not to berecompensed,

87. Bring it back (i.e.,return the soul to thebody), if you aretruthful.

88. Then if he was ofthose brought near (toAllah),

89. Then (for him is) restand bounty and aGarden


ÒÔ�- ¾�¾k¦�̈ ° �Ç 759 ÏÔ -�öð¦Ø»¢øç�¾ ¢ë��(of) Pleasure.89Andifhe wasof(the) companions

��(of) the right,90Then, peacefor you;[from]

��(the) companions(of) the right.91Butif

��he wasofthe deniers,the astray,93

��

Then, hospitalityof(the) scalding water,94And burning

��(in) Hellfire.94Indeed,thissurely, it(is the) truthcertain.

�� 95So glorify(the) name(of) your Lord,the Most Great.96

�� In the nameof Allah,the Most Gracious,the Most Merciful.

��Glorifies[to] Allahwhatever(is) inthe heavensand the earth,and He

��(is) the All-Mighty,the All-Wise.1For Him(is the) dominion (of) the heavens

��and the earth,He gives lifeand causes death,and He(is) overallthings

��All-Powerful.2He(is) the Firstand the Last,and the Apparent

��and the Unapparent,and He(is) of everythingAll-Knower.3He

��(is) the One Whocreatedthe heavensand the earthinsix

Surah 57: The iron (v. 1-4) Part - 27

90. And if he was of thecompanions of theright,

91. Then (the Angels willsay), `Peace for you;the companions of theright.`

92. But if he was of thedeniers, the (ones gone)astray,

93. Then (for him is)hospitality of scaldingwater,

94. And burning inHellfire.

95. Indeed, this is theabsolute truth.

96. So glorify the nameof your Lord, the MostGreat.

In the name of Allah,the Most Gracious, theMost Merciful.

1. Whatever is in theheavens and whateveris on the earth glorifyAllah, and He is theAll-Mighty, the All-Wise.

2. To Him belongs thedominion of theheavens and the earth,He gives life andcauses death, and He isover all things All-Powerful.

3. He is the First and theLast, and the Apparentand the Unapparent,and He is the All-Knower of everything.

4. He is the One Whocreated the heavens andthe earth in six


ÒÔ�- ¾�¾k¦�̈ ° �Ç 760 ÏÔ -�öð¦Ø»¢øç�¾ ¢ë��

periods,thenHe roseoverthe Throne.He knowswhat

��penetratesin(to)the earthand whatcomes forthfrom it,and what

��descendsfromthe heavenand whatascendstherein;and He

�� (is) with youwhereveryou are.And Allahof whatyou do(is) All-seer.

��4For Him(is the) dominion(of) the heavensand the earth,and to

��Allahwill be returnedthe matters.5He mergesthe nightinto

��the dayand He mergesthe dayintothe night,and He(is) All-Knower

� ��of what is in the breasts.6Believein Allah

��and His Messengerand spendof whatHe has made youtrustees

��therein.And thosewho believeamong youand spend,for them

��(is) a rewardgreat.7And what(is) for you(that) not

��you believein Allahwhile the Messengercalls youthat you believe

��in your Lord,and indeed,He has takenyour covenantif

��you arebelievers.8He(is) the One Whosends downupon

��His slaveVersesclearthat He may bring you outfromthe darkness[es]


periods, then He roseover the Throne. Heknows what penetratesinto the earth and whatcomes forth from it, andwhat descends from theheaven and what ascendstherein; and He is withyou wherever you are.And Allah is All-Seer ofwhat you do.

5. To Him belongs thedominion of the heavensand the earth, and toAllah return (all) thematters.

6. He merges the night intothe day and merges theday into the night, andHe is All-Knower ofwhat is within thebreasts.

7. Believe in Allah and HisMessenger and spend outof what He has made youtrustees of. And thosewho believe and spend,for them is a greatreward.

8. And why do you notbelieve in Allah whilethe Messenger calls youto believe in your Lord,and indeed, He has takenyour covenant, if you arebelievers.

9. He is the One Whosends down upon Hisslave clear Verses thatHe may bring you outfrom the darkness


ÒÔ�- ¾�¾k¦�̈ ° �Ç 761 ÏÔ -�öð¦Ø»¢øç�¾ ¢ë��

intothe light.And indeed,Allahto you(is the) Most Kind,(the) Most Merciful.

��9And what(is) for youthat notyou spendin(the) way

�� (of) Allah?while for Allah(is the) heritage(of) the heavensand the earth?Not

�� are equalamong you(those) whospentbeforethe victoryand fought.

�� Those(are) greater(in) degreethanthose whospentafterwards

�� and fought.But to all,Allah has promisedthe best.And Allahof what

�� you do(is) All-Aware.10Who (is)the one whowill loan(to) Allah

��a loangoodly,so He will multiply itfor himand for him(is) a rewardnoble?

��11(On the) Dayyou will seethe believing menand the believing women,

�� running,their lightbefore themand on their right,`Glad tidings for youthis Day -

��gardensflowingfromunderneath itthe rivers,abiding forevertherein.

��That[it] (is)the successthe great.`12(On the) Daywill say

��the hypocrite menand the hypocrite womento those whobelieved,`Wait for us,

��we may acquireofyour light.`It will be said,`Go backbehind youand seek

��light.`Then will be put upbetween thema wall,for ita gateits interior,


into light. And indeed,Allah is Most Kind andMost Merciful to you.

10. And why do you notspend in the way ofAllah while to Allahbelongs the heritage ofthe heavens and theearth? Not equal amongyou are those whospent and fought beforethe victory (and thosewho did so later).Those are greater indegree than those whospent and foughtafterwards. But to all,Allah has promised thebest. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

11. Who is it that willloan to Allah a goodlyloan so He willmultiply it for him andhe will have a noblereward?

12. On the Day you willsee the believing menand the believingwomen, their lightproceeding before themand on their right, (itwill be said to them),`Glad tidings for youtoday - gardensunderneath whichrivers flow, abidingtherein forever. That isthe great success.`

13. On the Day thehypocrite men and thehypocrite women willsay to those whobelieved, `Wait for usthat we may acquire(some) of your light. ̀Itwill be said, `Go back,behind you and seeklight.` Then a wall witha gate will be put upbetween them, itsinterior


ÒÔ�- ¾�¾k¦�̈ ° �Ç 762 ÏÔ -�öð¦Ø»¢øç�¾ ¢ë��

in it(is) mercybut its exterior,facing towards [it]the punishment.13

��They will call them,`Were notwewith you?`They will say,`Yes,but you

�� led to temptationyourselvesand you awaitedand you doubtedand deceived you

��the wishful thinkinguntilcame(the) Command(of) Allah.And deceived you

��about Allahthe deceiver.14So todaynotwill be acceptedfrom you

��any ransomand notfromthose whodisbelieved.Your abode(is) the Fire;

�� it (is)your protectorand wretched isthe destination.15Has not

�� come (the) timefor those whobelievedthatbecome humbletheir hearts

� ��at (the) remembrance (of) Allahand whathas come downofthe truth?And not

�� they becomelike those whowere giventhe Bookbefore,(and) was prolonged

��for themthe term,so hardenedtheir hearts;and manyof them

��(are) defiantly disobedient.16KnowthatAllahgives life(to) the earth

��afterits death.Indeed,We have made clearto youthe Signsso that you may

��understand.17Indeed,the men who give charityand the women who give charity,

��and who lend(to) Allaha loangoodly,it will be multipliedfor them,and for them


contains mercy, and onthe exterior ispunishment.

14. They (i.e., thehypocrites) will call tothem (i.e., the believers),`Were we not with you?`They will say, `Yes, butyou led yourselves totemptation, you awaited(misfortune for us) andyou doubted (Allah`sPromise) and you weredeceived by wishfulthinking until theCommand of Allahcame. And the deceiver(i.e., Shaitaan) deceivedyou concerning Allah.

15. So today no ransomwill be accepted fromyou nor from those whodisbelieved. Your abodeis the Fire; it is a properplace for you andwretched is thedestination.

16. Has the time not comefor those who believedthat their hearts becomehumble at theremembrance of Allahand what has come downof the truth? And thatthey should not becomelike those who weregiven the Book beforeand the term wasprolonged for them, sotheir hearts hardened;and many of them aredefiantly disobedient.

17. Know that Allahgives life to the earthafter its death. Indeed,We have made clear toyou the Signs so that youmay understand.

18. Indeed, the men whogive charity and thewomen who give charityand who loan to Allah agoodly loan, it will bemultiplied for them, andthey will have


ÒÔ�- ¾�¾k¦�̈ ° �Ç 763 ÏÔ -�öð¦Ø»¢øç�¾ ¢ë��(is) a rewardnoble.18And those whobelievein Allah

��and His Messengers,[those]they(are) the truthfuland the martyrs,(are) with

��their Lord.For them(is) their rewardand their light.But those whodisbelieve

��and denyOur Verses,those(are the) companions(of) the Hellfire.19

��Knowthatthe life(of) the world(is) playand amusementand adornment

��and boastingamong youand competition in increaseofthe wealthand the children,

��like (the) example(of) a rain,pleasesthe tillersits growth;thenit dries

��and you see itturning yellow;thenbecomesdebris.And inthe Hereafter

��(is) a punishmentsevereand forgivenessfromAllahand Pleasure.But not

��(is) the life(of) the worldexcept(the) enjoyment(of) delusion.20Race

��to(the) forgivenessfromyour Lord,and a Gardenits width(is) like (the) width

��(of) the heavenand the earth,preparedfor those whobelievein Allah

��and His Messengers.That(is the) Bounty(of) Allah,He gives(to) whom

�� He wills.And Allah(is) the Possessor of Bounty,the Great.21Not

��strikesanydisasterinthe earthand notin


a noble reward.

19. And those whobelieve in Allah andHis Messenger, theyare the truthful, andmartyrs are with Allah.They will have theirreward and their light.But those whodisbelieve and denyOur Verses, those arethe companions of theHellfire.

20. Know that the life ofthis world is play andamusement andadornment andboasting among youand competition inincrease of wealth andchildren, like theexample of rain whose(resulting plant) growthpleases the tillers; thenit dries up and you seeit turning yellow; thenit becomes debris. Andin the Hereafter issevere punishment andforgiveness from Allahand (His) Pleasure. Butthe life of this world isnothing but theenjoyment of delusion.

21. Race to theforgiveness from yourLord and a Gardenwhose width is like thewidth of the heavenand the earth, preparedfor those who believein Allah and HisMessengers. That is theBounty of Allah, Hegives it to whom Hewills. And Allah is thePossessor of GreatBounty.

22. No disaster strikes onthe earth or within


ÒÔ�- ¾�¾k¦�̈ ° �Ç 764 ÏÔ -�öð¦Ø»¢øç�¾ ¢ë��

yourselves,butina Registerbeforethat

��We bring it into existence.Indeed,thatforAllah(is) easy.

�� 22So that you may notgrieveoverwhathas escaped you,

��and (do) notexultat whatHe has given you.And Allah(does) not

��loveeveryself-deludedboaster,23Those whoare stingy

��and enjoin(on) the peoplestinginess.And whoeverturns away,then indeed,

��Allah,He(is) Free of need,the Praiseworthy.24CertainlyWe sent

�� Our Messengerswith clear proofsand We sent downwith themthe Scripture

��and the Balancethat may establishthe peoplejustice.And We sent down

��[the] iron,wherein(is) powermightyand benefitsfor the people,

� ��and so that Allah may make evident(he) whohelps Himand His Messengers,

��unseen.Indeed,Allah(is) All-StrongAll-Mighty.25And certainly

��We sentNuhand Ibrahim,and We placedintheir offspringProphethood

�and the Scripture;and among them(is) a guided one,but mostof them

��(are) defiantly disobediently.26ThenWe sentontheir footsteps

yourselves, but is in aRegister before Webring it into existence.Indeed, that is easy forAllah.

23. So that you may notgrieve over what hasescaped you, nor exultat what He has givenyou. And Allah doesnot love any self-deluded boaster,

24. Those who arestingy and enjoin uponpeople stinginess. Andwhoever turns away,then indeed, Allah isFree of need, thePraiseworthy.

25. Certainly We sentOur Messengers withclear proofs, and Wesent down with themthe Scripture and theBalance (of right andwrong) that people mayestablish justice. AndWe sent down iron,wherein is mightypower and benefits forthe people, so thatAllah may makeevident he who helpsHim and HisMessengers, unseen.Indeed, Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty.

26. And certainly Wesent Nuh and Ibrahim,and We placed in theiroffspring Prophethoodand the Scripture; andamong them are guidedones, but most of themare defiantlydisobedient.

27. Then We sent OurMessengers on theirfootsteps



ÒÔ�- ¾�¾k¦�̈ ° �Ç 765 ÏÔ -�öð¦Ø»¢øç�¾ ¢ë��Our Messengersand We followedwith Isa,son(of) Maryam,and We gave him

��the Injeel.And We placedin(the) hearts(of) those whofollowed him

��compassionand mercy.But monasticismthey innovated -not

��We prescribed itfor them -onlyseeking(the) pleasure

��(of) Allah,but notthey observed it(with) rightobservance.So We gave

��those whobelievedamong themtheir reward,but most

�� of them(are) defiantly disobediently.27O you who believe!

�� FearAllahand believein His Messenger;He will give you

��double portionofHis Mercyand He will makefor youa light,

��you will walkwith it,and He will forgiveyou.And Allah

��(is) Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful.28So thatmay know

��(the) People(of) the Bookthat notthey have powerover

��anythingfrom(the) Bounty(of) Allah,and that

�� the Bounty(is) in Allah`s Hand;He gives itwhomHe wills.

�� And Allah(is) the Possessor of Bountythe Great.29

and followed (them)with Isa, son ofMaryam, and We gavehim the Injeel. AndWe placed in thehearts of those whofollowed himcompassion andmercy. But themonasticism theyinnovated - We didnot prescribe it forthem - only seekingthe pleasure of Allah,but they did notobserve it with dueobservance. So Wegave those whobelieved among themtheir reward, but mostof them are defiantlydisobedient.

28. O you whobelieve! Fear Allahand believe in HisMessenger, He willgive you a doubleportion of His Mercy,and He will make foryou a light by whichyou will walk and willforgive you. AndAllah is Oft-Forgiving, MostMerciful.

29. So that the Peopleof the Book mayknow that they do nothave any power overthe Bounty of Allah,and that (all) theBounty is in theHands of Allah; Hegives it to whom Hewills. And Allah isthe Possessor of GreatBounty.
