Explanation of package items and termsWWe speak camera (a lot) and sometimes we forget that most people don’t know what we’re talking about when it comes to photography and filmmaking. Every one has their niche and ours is weddings! To make things easier we try to explain processes and terms in a simplified manner to help our clients, but sometimes it is still too confusing. To try to help make this communication better we’ve broken down our terms.

CoverageReRefers to the time spent by our photographers and filmmakers on your wedding day. Depending on your package there might be one, two, three or even four. Having this team allows us to cover more angles and capture more. It is especially helpful to have multiple people during the cere-mony, first look, reception or dances and speeches.

To be more specific, a CINEMATOGRAPHER as compared to a videographer is a term to describe their attention to capturing more of a storybased film.

Feature filmThe main piece created from your wedding footage. Depending on the amount of coverage recorded at your wedding and the package option you choose, the feature can be from 5 to 20 minutes long. This film is the best edit that we create and features detailed story-based video editing, audio design, color correction and industry-standard file processing.

A documentary editIs a chronological account of the entire Is a chronological account of the entire wedding day. This film includes all of the footage that didn’t make it into the feature film edit. You’ll find preparation, ceremony, reception, speeches, dances, cake cutting and all other footage in this cut of your wedding day. The ceremony, speeches and dances are professionally recorded with multiple audio sources so you can hear your vows, any readings, the best man/maid of honor speeches and the songs you and your parents dance to. We shoot with multiple cameras so that every angle and every second is covered.

The delivery of your wedding package is guaranteed on the three month anniversary of your wedding day. The final package you willreceireceive is through a custom online delivery system where you can download to a flash drive, share on social media, burn a dvd or a blu-ray -- all from the same site. Your videos are .mov files and are playable on any computer or USB-compatible device. Your feature films are also uploaded to YouTube and Vimeo so you can watch them online and share with friends and family.

Don’t mind your mannersYOU are NEVER in our way! Tell your wedding party and other guests not to worry about moving out of our way for our shots. Let us move around you. We strive for beautifully natural-looking scenes, and the best way to do that is when people are moving about freely. Don’t wor-ry—we’ve been doing this a while. We promise to capture every last detail for your final product.

Smile as much as humanly possibleWe know being in front of the camera is not the most comfortable thing, but just remember to smile! After just a few minutes with us in the room, we know you will get comfortable. We just want you to have a great time, smile, laugh and enjoy the day with family and friends.

All the little thingsIn In weddings past, we find that some of the most unique and memorable sweet moments we’ve captured are those like first looks and gift/note ex-changes before the walk down the aisle. It is your day, so you call the shots, but you might want to give one or both of these ideas a second look if you haven’t incorporated them already. It’s always the little things that set your wedding apart and make it one of a kind.

Making movesYou might notice that we refer to ourselves as “cinematographers” instead of “videographers”. But the difference is more of how we film. We place more of an effort on storytelling rather than just covering events with video cameras in hand.

Legal always sounds betterIt’s illegal to use copywritten music without proper licensing in your wedding film. The other option is to buy and license songs from websites like themusicbed.com and songfreedom.com. If you find any selections on the sites that you especially like, let us know and we’ll do the best to fit the songs into your films.

Making the bride glowAllAllowing natural light to fill rooms wherever you are during your wedding day is the number one best thing you can do to make yourself look better in your photos and films. This means maybe letting the makeup artist know that you’d rather be by the window when you’re getting ready or making sure all the blinds are open in the rooms.

Proper planning prevents poor performanceSometimes Sometimes venues have strict rules and we get it. Making sure that we know what those rules are beforehand can help us plan on how to photo-graph and film certain events during the day. Asking questions like “can we use lighting?” “can we fly a drone?” or “how close can our tripods be to the front of the venue?” are all good ones to ask.

beautifully-edited film that you will want to watch and share again and again. A wedding film is the only true way to relive the moments you loved the most and to see the moments that you may have missed. It’s a way to share your day with those that couldn’t attend, and it’s a

wonderful way to remember the love that you and your spouse shared with each other on that truly special day.

ContractAfter a conversation on the phone to see if we are a good fit for each other, a contract will be drafted for your wedding. We will send the contract via email, have you look it over, print it out, sign it, and send it back with your down payment. Down payments are 1/3 of the total cost of the pack-age. A payment schedule is created for the remaining two payments.

Call sheetThe next step is to plan out how we will shoot your wedding. We send a questionnaire long before your wedding to make sure we have all of the information we need. We make sure that we get all the info that we need so that we are ready to start filming the moment we get to your wed-ding. Also, as part of the Call Sheet, we will brainstorm creative ideas, locations, and shots to capture your day.

Sharing your filmsWe love to share our new films with our friends just as much as you do. We will host a premiere of your film on our Facebook page. Please feel free to share your video on your Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and other social media profiles. We also love when couples tag our Facebook page on their film to help us connect with people who love watching it. Feel free to tag your friends and family in the link as well so your best man can see himself giving his hilarious toast, your maid of honor can watch her tearjerker speech, and everyone can enjoy reliving the day.
