What is Cloud 20/20 ?

Launched in October 2009, Cloud 20/20™ is one of the largest technical project contests of its kind in India and has

garnered the attention of some of the best minds in the country. Known as a premier confluence of industry and

academia, the event serves as a much-needed conduit to bridge the industry-academia gap and acts as a springboard

for innovative student ideas to take the leap into the business and professional horizon. Through this event, we try to

identify creative geniuses who can come up with mind-blowing innovation and reward them for their creativity. It is

open to all engineering students who have an eye for innovation, interest in solving complex, real world business

challenges, and taking their innovative ideas to the next level. This competition intends to give them a chance to hone

their skills, present their technology ideas to industry experts, and also be part of the Unisys family!

We completed our eleventh year of innovation and as always, had some great ideas to

showcase and some brilliant innovators winning the top three positions. What was different

this year was the addition of a whole new track called the Targeted Innovation program or

TIP into the event, which was focused on solving real-world problems statements provided

by Unisys and its partners and clients in the industry. Inclusion of our clients, partners and

industry bodies into the Cloud 20/20™ journey made it an enriching experience.

What is in Store this year? The Cloud 20/20™ platform has grown in leaps and bounds and evolved into something much larger than a

technology project content or an industry-academia event. It is truly an opportunity that offers rich, experiential learning

to the participants. The platform offers students an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts on practical use cases

and hence go deeper into their chosen domains. Exciting prizes, internship opportunities and potential employment

with Unisys make the engagement rewarding. This year promises to be no different.

Cloud 20/20 is the only national platform of its kind in India where we attempt to pick the best

minds from the fresh talent available in academia and not just equip them with the right skills to

be future-ready but, also serve as the primary conduit between the right talent and the industry.

Our attempt is to drive innovation in India right from the grassroots with the best of fresh ideas

culled from the premier academic institutions in India. We are on the lookout for future

Cloud 20/20 Year 11 Cloud 20/20 year 11 has been a celebration of innovation and collaboration, amidst the most challenging times. There

were so many firsts we achieved this year, making year 11 truly a milestone in the history of this flagship event. This

year saw the inclusion of a new track Targeted Innovation Program or TIP, along with the Student Innovation Program or

SIP. While SIP focuses on emerging technology areas, giving students an open canvas on which to build innovative

solutions, TIP presented real-life business challenges sourced from our clients and partners, giving students a feel of

what a career in technology is like. All themes resonated well with the overall theme of the year “Technology for

Tomorrow- Smart, Seamless and Secure”. The inclusion of our clients, partners and industry bodies into the journey

made the experience more enriching. Last but not the least, the event was conducted in a fully virtual format, with the

students, Unisys team, jury and other guests joining virtually, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The experience was as

exciting as always, as was evident from the feedback from all stakeholders.

The winning teams were:

2nd Runners Up: “Social Media Analytics” by Bharath M, Surya S, Chandru S, Venugopal A and Mr N Arunachalam

from Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College, Pondicherry

1st Runners Up: “ACTION BOT” by Pranav Hegde, Naren Chandra, Rakshith R and Sowmya B.J from MS Ramaiah

Institute of Technology

Winners: “Universal Interpreter” by Shiva Pundir, Sai Kumar N, Jerry Allan Akshay, Rahul R and Dr. P Deepa Shenoy

from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering

The winning teams shared a price pool valued at INR 4.25 lakhs. Additionally, the winners

got internship opportunities and the best candidates bagged career opportunities with

Unisys.
