are coordinating and harmonizing the following

LETTER OF INTENT

The ELA Certification of the European Logistics Association to students graduated in

Logistics and Management in Maritime Affairs and Transport.

SUBJECT

Aimed at developing, enlarging and applying the logistics and supply chain management

within the Republic of Croatia and the European Union, as well as at promoting specialised

training programs for logisticians, the European Logistics Association (ELA), the Croatian

Logistics Association and the Faculty of Maritime Studies in fujeka have expressed their

mutual wish for issuing the professional Candidate European Senior Logistieian Certificate

(.ESLOG Certificate) to students graduated in Logistics and Management in Maritime Affairs

and Transport, pursuant to the European Logistics Association Qualification Framework.

. NSUING CERTIFICATES

Since the year 2005, the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Rijeka has administered a six-

semester undergarduate and a four-semester graduate study of Logistics and Management in

Maritime Affairs and Transport. Upon completion of the undergraduate study, the student is

awarded the professional title of Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Logistics and Management in

Maritime Affairs and Transport, while, upon completion of the graduate study, the student is

awarded the professional title of Master of Science (MSc) in Logistics and Management inMaritime Affairs and Transport. The Logistics and Management in Maritime Affairs andTransport undergraduate and graduate study are accredited and approved by the Ministry ofScience, Education and Sport of the Republic of Croatia.

Through the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Rijeka, acting as an associate member of theCroatian Logistics Association (HRLA), the European Logistics Association (ELA) and theCroatian Logistics Association (HRLA) are going to issue to students graduated from theLogistics and Management in Maritime Affairs and Transport graduate study a professionalcertificate pursuant to the European Logistics Association Qualification Framework. Theissuing of such a certificate is based on the competences that a graduate student has acquiredduring the five-year long study program. Holders of the cESLog Certificate can upgrade theircertificate to a full ESLog certificate after proving relevant experience for 3years. ThecESLog Certificate is valid for 5 years after issuing.

DURATION

Pursuant to this Letter of Intent, the issuing of the oESLOG Certificate covers a five (5) yearperiod as from the date of signing it and can be extended if jointly agreed upon by all thesignatories involved.

RESULTS OBTAINED

At five-year intervals, a meeting will be organised by all signatories of the Letter of Intent inorder to analyze what effect have the issued Certificates achieved.
