SC-HB2015V is a HD SDI camera with built in video transmitter primarily designed to be used with SC-HRP0601D/04D/08D receivers. It is also possible to extend transmission distance by using SC-HLR01D repeater. This HD-SDI system enables HD-SDI signals, Power and RS-485 transmission over single coaxial cable. It is very costeffective solution as it allows to reduce cost and labor associated with installing new cables.

HD-SDI Signal HD-SDI (High Definition Serial Digital Interface) signal is new technology in CCTV field which transmits uncompressed digital video signal, Audio and Data over coaxial cable. Unlike the analog or IP signal transmission, there is no deterioration or delay when transmitting the signal and it is possible to extend the transmission distance by using repeaters.

Transmission distance

1. The Max. transmission distance for the HD-SDI Signal can be vary depending on the Equalizer, Reclocker and cable driver of each devices (Camera, DVR, Repeater, etc)

* Please note the specification of the device.

2. Recommended Cable type for the HD-SDI - For High frequency HD-SDI signal, it is recommended the FB Type Fomed Polyethylene insulated Coaxial Cable (HFBT) for the transmission.

When installing the cable, it is important to note that transforming, bending, pressing the cable may cause the signal loss.

Considering above cable attenuation, it is possible to estimate the transmission distance in case of the other types of the cable.

As using SC-UHCP0801, the distance of UTP CAT.5e/6 is the distance of UTP cable between Tx and Rx.

3. Connector (BNC) - Characteristic Impedance of the BNC must be 75. if the characteristic impedance of BNC is 50 or non-standard BNC is used,

the transmission distance will be shorter due to connection loss

4. Environment near the cable - The transmission distance may vary depending on the Environment near the cable. (High current power cable or induced current)
