Class Summary

This class will go beyond the academic definitions within the industry that help to describe the practice of integrated design. We will discuss integration as a holistic project process from the beginning to the end. We will look beyond the common sustainable projects, for example. We will demonstrate an optimal use of Autodesk Revit 2013 software with Autodesk®360 cloud-based services through examples of projects that assist in the management process. Revit and Autodesk 360 will be key tools to initiate and foster the ideas of integration.

John Harriman - mechanical engineer with over 28 years of experience, has been using Revit MEP since 2007 for engineering and project management. He is a principal with SmithGroupJJR in Washington DC.

Kal Houhou- regional BIM Implementer and an associate with SmithGroupJJR in Washington DC, where he is a member of the firm-wide BIM Group. Kal is also member of the Project Committee that designs the US National BIM Standards.
