ANSWER: The white light strikes the green grass, which reflects the green light waves. The green light passes through the CORNEA (A) and the PUPIL (C). The IRIS (B) opens and closes to let more light in or to keep too much light out. The green light then passes through the LENS (D) and gets focused onto the RETINA (E). The cones absorb the green light.

the colors red, orange, yellow,

green, indigo, and violet. Homer won’t see these colors!!!

3. The blue doughnut REFLECTS the blue light waves out and into his cornea, pupil, and lens.

4. Homer’s lens FOCUSES the light onto the retina. The image is upside down. The retina changes the light into electrical signals and sends them to the brain by the optic nerves.

3. What does the retina do with the light? The retina has rod and cone cells that absorb the light and turn it into an electrical impulse. This electrical impulse is sent to the brain through the optic nerve.
