The first ever Polaris-Vikings Winterfest will be held Friday, February 19, through Sunday, February 21, in Duluth. The three-day event is designed to be family friendly and raise money for the Vikings Children’s Fund. Current Vikings players, alumni and Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders will attend the festivities.
“We take great pride at the Minnesota Vikings in being able to give back to our community while focusing on the children of the Upper Midwest,” said Vikings President/Owner Mark Wilf. “From an open training camp to these philanthropic events across the state, our goal is to connect our team with as many fans as possible throughout Minnesota.”
There have been many changes on and off the field for the Minnesota Vikings since the team’s inception, but the organization’s steadfast commitment to children has always remained the same.
The Vikings Children’s Fund was established in 1978 and has since raised over $11 million to give back to those in need. The Vikings Children’s Fund is a means for Vikings players, coaches, cheerleaders, staff and their families to help children in our community. The fund distributes grants to health, education and family service organizations benefiting children here in the upper midwest.
