# 1 PICK IN THE NFL DRAFT

For the second consecutive year, Imperial Crane took part in the assembly of the main stage for the NFL Draft, lifting over 7,800 poles for the roof structure at a 158 foot radius. Imperial was also hired to hoist relay and video displays prominently seen during the draft. Thank you to the NFL for trusting Imperial Crane to get the job done!

LIFTINGSUCCESS TOTHE NEXT LEVELImperial was recently honored asone of the 2016 Annual Awards forBusiness Excellence (AABEs), in thecategory of family business.

The AABEs, given for businessachievement, growth andcommunity involvement, arepresented to outstanding businessesand non-profit organizations with asignificant presence in the suburbancirculation area of the Daily Herald Business Ledger newspaper.

Imperial Crane was proud to be a part ofNavy Pier’s 100th anniversary by installing the legs of the new Ferris Wheel and was back on-site to install 13 Valmont light poles that ran along the Navy Pier shoreline. The poles were 60 feet tall and weighed 3,000 pounds each. This project was completed at night since pedestrian traffic was hindered.

ALONGSIDE THEFOX RIVER WITHIMPERIAL CRANEImperial was hired at the site of the historic Baker Hotel in St Charles, IL to assist with the removal of the existing flagpole assembly which was actually a cell tower disguised to look like a flagpole. To maintain the building’s landmark status with the National Register of Historic Places, a new flagpole was installed in keeping with the original installation dating back to the original construction in 1928.

This transformer was nearly 400,000 lbs. which was hoisted off of a railcar, onto a dolly system and off of the dolly system onto a transformer pad with a single 600 ton Liebherr All Terrain Crane. The entire job was completed on schedule and without conflict.
