Professor Richard Schmalensee Professor Richard Schmalensee is the Howard W. Johnson Professor of Economics and Management, Emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and served for nine years as the John C Head III Dean of the MIT Sloan School of Management. Professor Schmalensee currently serves as the co-chair (with Tan Sri Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz) of the Board of Governors of the Asia School of Business in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a business school established by Bank Negara Malaysia in collaboration with the MIT Sloan School of Management.
