About Ludhiana

Situated in Punjab it is a city based on the name of a Mugul Emperor of 15th

century. Ludhiana is the biggest city in size in the state of Punjab, It has a large population of more than 4 million people and is popularly known as Manchester of India for a very strong economy.

It is popular for its cuisine and for the love of food that people of city have.

It is also the home for Asia’s biggest rural olympics held every year. Ludhiana is the biggest producer and exporter of hosiery in India. and Apart from being an industrial town, Ludhiana is home to several places of tourist interest that draws in a large number of tourists from various parts of India.

Name driven by 5 main rivers that flow through its fertile lands. Popularly referred as cultural hub of India, Punjab is a State residing in north-west part of India. The state is bordered by the Indian states of Himachal Pardesh to the east, Haryana to the south and southeast, Rajasthan to the southwest, and the Pakistani province of Punjab to the west, To the north it is bounded by the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Punjab is the only state in India with a

majority Sikh population. Millions of tourist visit Punjab every year to have a visit of Golden Temple.

In the years of our existence, aspiring to deliver the finest leadership experiences to the city, AIESEC in Ludhiana has been truly phenomena. Started in year 2013 as an AIESEC initiative group in Ludhiana.

AIESEC in Ludhiana was made an Official Expansion of AIESEC in India in the same year in the month of June. In January 2015 , AIESEC in Ludhiana was awarded as The Best Expansion of AIESEC in India. The growth of entity in that year was 200%. Being such a new local committee, we have the broken the orthodox methods and innovated as a part of youth based organization.
