Tips to make practicing your scales fun.

Always ask “What if I did X to this scale (interval, arpeggio, chord, etc…)?

1. Be creative with rhythm

2. Explore subsets of scales

3. Apply different techniques

4. Be creative with note order, play scale sequences and patterns

Example of creative exercises:

Practicing to a drum loop, number the notes of a scale and play sequences.

Throw in spontaneous & creative rhythms to make it more interesting.
