Filbert will wake up at 7:30am on Saturday morning, and then eat his
breakfast outside in the sunshine. “What a lovely day this will be,” Filbert
will smile to himself, “I can’t wait for the match!”. Filbert will then decide
between the blue or the pink kit for today’s match. “Hmmm…” he will
ponder, “I think I’ll go for the blue.” He’ll arrive at King Power Stadium
promptly at 12:30pm (if there is no traffic!), and once he gets there,
Filbert is scheduled to begin his walk around the stadium. He will greet
all the fans before taking his seat pitch-side. “C’mon the City!” Filbert
will shout, rallying up the crowd for the big game…

Stars such as 1966 World Cup winner (1)__________ and skilful playmaker Dave Gibson
formed the impressive side. But perhaps one of our most famous players is (2)__________
, now a Match of the Day presenter who, when we won the league, wore only
his (3)__________ on TV. He played for us in the late ‘70s to early ‘80s and scored a
whopping (4)__________ goals, so it’s no wonder he’s a Leicester legend! He left to
play for Everton in 1985, but the Leicester City glory days were still to come: Martin
O’Neill took over in December of (5)__________ and the Foxes gained promotion that
year through the play-offs to the Premier League. Four successive top-10 finishes and
(6)__________ League Cups meant it was a pretty good time to be a Fox. City left
Filbert Street in 2002 to their new ground (7)__________ (now known as King Power
Stadium), but the years that followed were pretty bad. In 2008 Leicester City were
relegated to League 1 under (8)__________ . But all was not lost: the appointment of
Nigel Pearson as manager proved to be a very good decision. He took City back up
to the Championship, and in 2010 our new owners (9)__________ took over. Come May
(10)__________ and the Foxes claimed the title and promotion to the Premier League.
