7 elements of Storytelling

1. Point of View• Telling your story from one perspective

2. Dramatic Question• This is the hook, the opening statement that draws in the audience.

3. Emotional Content• The part of the story to which others can relate.

4. Voice• A good narrator can give the story personality and make it better

than using text alone.

5. Soundtrack• Can enhance the story establish the mood if chosen wisely.

6. Economy• Keeping your script brief makes the writer focus on maintaining the

central focus of the story.

7. Pacing• The rhythm of the story determines much of what holds and

audience’s interest.

Storyboarding

• A storyboard is a series of diagrams that are used to depict the composition of a video segment.

• They are used by designers to illustrate and organize their ideas and obtain feedback.

• They are particularly useful planning for multi-media presentations.
