- THE EARLIEST USE OF WIND ENERGY The history of using wind
energy can trace bake to B.C. China is the earliest user of wind
energy. We use wind energy in transportation and agriculture. Egypt
also is the early user of the wind energy.

- Global wind power installations increased by 41,236 in 2011,
bringing total installed capacity up to 238,351 MW, a 20.6%
increase on the 197,637 MW installed at the end of 2010. For the
last two years more than half of all new wind power was added
outside of the traditional markets of Europe and North America,
mainly driven by the continuing boom in China which accounted for
nearly half of all of the installations at 18,000 MW. China now has
62,733 MW of wind power installed. As of 2011, 83 countries around
the world are using wind power on a commercial basis.

- How the wind turbine works
- Slide 18
- Wind is caused by differences in pressure. A wind turbine is a
device that converts kinetic energy from the wind into electricity
for distribution. There are three kinds of wind turbine: VAWT,
Savonius, HAWT towered A wind turbine can be divided into three
components: The rotor component The generator component The
structural support component

- Wind energy is the most clean energy source. With the
technology and facility of wind energy becoming more and more
progressive, it can largely decrease the prime cost of developing
energy. Also, wind energy is the renewable energy, so harnessing
wind energy can protect the landmark and ecological
environment.

stable windy areas for greater efficiency ridges and hills ruin the
landscape mortality of birds and bats In Kansas, a kind of bird has
