Wild-type Mutant

Mutant Arabidopsis rosette diameters are smaller on average than wild-type. This is clearly evident in the above graph showing the average rosette width in the first 28 days afterplanting, and in the photo (inset) showing 16 day old wild-type and mutant plants.

Mutant Arabidopsis plants respond differently to experimental growth conditions than wild-type. As can be seen in the above graph, experimental growth conditions (low lightintensity) result in an overall reduction in average wild-type rosette diameter, but almost no reduction in average mutant rosette diameter.

Mutant Arabidopsis plants bolt later and are shorter on average than wild-type plants. This is clearly evident in the above graph showing average bolt height from 23 to 44 daysafter planting, and in the photo (inset) showing 23 day old wild-type and mutant plants.
