Who is driving NFC?
Original standards were created by NXP, Sony and others in ECMA and then adopted by the International Standards Organization (ISO)
New specifications have been created by the NFC Forum
Members of the NFC Forum include many of the worlds leading companies such as Nokia, Samsung, NXP and Sony. (view NFC Forum members)
European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) produce standards which define how NFC applications are hosted and managed in a UICC (SIM card) within a mobile phone platform
