Who Am I?
Who am I? A self-absorbed homophile or a depressed lunatic? My character has been
questioned by some and labeled by many. Only the immature and juvenile have used my failures
as common leverage. Even though I’ve been nothing more than myself; others have enjoyed
choosing my personality, emotions, and situations. By them adding their own interpretation of
me it has given them sadly the thought of having immeasurable power over my personal life and
my personal situations. If you have chosen my every thought, word, and judgment; what could
possibly be left for me to determine? You know me perfectly better than I know myself. So, who
am I?
The above is an example of how stereotypes have controlled the impression of an
individual. However, as an individual, I refuse to be categorized by any stereotypes or
assumptions. I’m most certainly not what you’ve resembled me to be. I’ve actually become a
fine young man driven and determined. Words such as confidence and debonair portray me best.
I’m a fun and amusing person, but, I’m mostly quiet and reserved. With the exception of going
out with my friends, I personally love to drift away from the crowd having my own separate fun.
Adoring almost everything adolescent is the perfect description of me -- a simple, regular all
American teen. My interest in music, fashion and art only support this statement. I am slightly
different, yet very basic and original. I strongly feel that every individual have their own unique
qualities that make them who they are. One of my very own is the love for fashion.
“Fashion is about dreaming and making other people dream.” – Donatella Versace
“The difference between style and fashion is quality.” - Giorgio Armani

“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street,
fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” - Coco Chanel
These are fashion icons that have influenced individuals worldwide. All three left their
trademarks, inspiring designers to achieve greatness and express their craft as they did for
themselves. Their names will live on forever being known for their work ethic and endless love
for fashion. I’ve always loved fashion and through my constant change in career choice, my last
resort was fashion. It was only fair to remain true to myself and choose an occupation that can
actually be labeled as a career. Studying fashion at a 4 year college is only a jumpstart. I want
to make a name for myself. I want my name to live on forever!
In 10 years, I plan to be fully accomplished; in a loving relation with only one person, in
a beautiful house, owning millions of dollars. Also, happily working at the top of a fashion
company and experiencing life correctly. I won’t ever stop striving, working or designing until
I’m completely affluent in that field.
