Tired of buying toys that your cats do not touch at all? You can DIY some toys to see their preference before buying.

Play around with different items
Cats too have preference for certain textures and materials, so give alternatives a try too.

String-type toys
Nylon, rope, stretchables. Usually a favourite due to the enticing trails that most cats love. Avoid cotton or short strings, and don't leave strings around unsupervised.

Stick-type toys
Some cats love biting on the edges of hard plastic or wooden sticks. Avoid soft or easily chipped sticks

Ball-type toys
They may not fetch, but some cats certainly love chasing them! Try mashing up a piece of paper or clean aluminium foil, and toss it around.

Cardboard-type
Boxes they can stay in comfortably, or scratch them to their hearts' content! Stack big ones with holes for them to climb and weave around.
