What were you born to do or be???

Please don’t misunderstand, I’m not making light of our lives, our passions, or pursuits-

I’m making light of our focus.

Are we more noble than these?

So, were you instead born to:

-have some idolized career?

-be somebody special or famous?

-achieve a great sports or financial accomplishment?

How about 1Thess.4:11-12?

If this doesn’t sound ambitious enough for you, let’s try changing the question just a bit….

What were you born again to do?

Is becoming a Christian an end of itself for you or are you looking for more?

Do really want to follow Christ? Matt.16:24

Then what was He born to do?

Now we’re on the right track and headed in the right direction!

What was Christ born to do?

the Will of the Father, John 4:34; 5:30

Do you realize you were born again to do the will of the Father? Matt.12:50; Eph.5:17; Matt.7:21

to Serve, Matt.20:20-28; John 13:1-11

Do you realize you were born again to Serve? Gal.5:13 > 6:1-10; Rom.15:1-3

What was Christ born to do?

Provide Salvation, Luke 19:10; John 10:10

He did so through Teaching, John 15:3

And did so through Death, Matt.20:28 But do you realize that you were born

again to likewise Provide Salvation,

>Through Teaching, 2Tim.2:2; John 15:8?

>And through living a transformed life, Rom.12:1-2?

You may indeed have been born to fish, hunt, shop, or golf,

But you were born again to:

>Do the Will of the Father

>To Serve

>To Be an Example to Others

>To Provide Salvation through Teaching and Living a Transformed Life.

How are you doing fulfilling these life goals and ambitions?
