What to do tonight until we get started:
• Find your nametag and choose your seat• Put tissues and freezer bags in the back of the
room (all other supplies can stay at your seat)
• Fill out contact information sheet located at the table near my desk.
• Look over and sign the field trip permission slip and homework info sheet at your desk. (you can take this home and return it on Wednesday.)

Regular Homework• Homework Policy
– Not as much nightly homework, but now weekly and more long term assignment expectations.
– Will introduce some long term home-based assignments.
Regular Homework
• Math Facts – – please practice addition, subtraction,
multiplication, and division– Create your own flash cards or you can
purchase them– Practice by saying the whole fact…not just
the answer…learning comes from repetition
Regular Homework• Reading Log
– Students will be expected to read for 30 minutes each night and respond to their reading using our class reading log. (Reading Log turned in on Friday)
– The idea is we want to see how your child is thinking about their reading or responding to their reading using procedures taught in class.
– Weekly reading is expected (180 minutes) and a minute log will need to be filled out and signed by a parent each week.
– KidBlog used beginning in October!
Behavior Plan• Please refer to Ms. Bradley’s Behavior Plan on
Konnect - Behavior Contract will be sent home
with your child(please review w/them)– Expectations– Monitored using a daily behavior slip which will only come
home to be signed if they received a warning.

the Multi-Purpose room.• Outdoor Ed permission slips need to be signed

• Information on “what to bring” will be on Konnect. (lunch, t-shirt, shoes, etc)
• Begin collecting paper rolls for Rollercoasters in Spring (paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls, etc.)
