WHAT MAKES A GOOD TEACHER?

Who was your favorite teacher growing up? And why were they your favorite?

I asked many different people of all ages these questions and the responses are

very interesting.

Brieanna, age 21

My 4th grade teacher, Mr. Thacker was my favorite teacher growing up because he

made learning fun and he knew my name on the first day of school.

Sailor, age 8

My favorite teacher was Mrs. McCord, kindergarten, she gave me hugs every

time I came to school!

Chase, age 18

My favorite teacher growing up was my 9th grade teacher, Mrs. Gaymond because

she made math fun and interesting. That was the only time I ever enjoyed going to

math class.

Becky, age 42

Mr. Strauman, 10th grade health because he classroom was exciting and fun to learn in, he used to jump on top of the desks to get

our attention.

My favorite teacher was my third grade teacher Mrs. Gates. She was funny. I liked

going to school!

My favorite teacher of all time was my French teacher Sophomore year in high

school because she cared about her students as if we were her own children.

My 4th grade teacher, Mr. Thacker, was my favorite because he had relationships with every individual student, he cared. He also

made learning fun!

My favorite teacher was my Mrs. Brown (pre-school) because she gave really good

hugs!

Mrs. Cubbage, my marketing and DECA teacher for 11th and 12th grade. She was

the most annoying, crazy, boring teacher I have ever had, but I owe every thing that I am today to that lady. She taught me so much and has helped me in many ways.

Mr. Wallis, 10th grade algebra because he was the first teacher to actually encourage

me.

Jordan, age 19

Mr. Harris, 11th and 12th grade, he was very witty and funny. Made his lessons

entertaining and motivated us to do well. He made us think in ways that we had

never thought before.

Lindsey, age 8

Mrs. Brown (pre-school) was my favorite teacher because she had a sandbox in the

classroom.

Ethan, age 18

My favorite teacher was my 11th grade teacher, Mr. Jelskey. He was a very enthusiastic and happy Canadian! He

made class entertaining.

Logan, age 19

Mrs. Schweiger, 7th grade, she always encouraged me to pursue my education and hobbies. She was just an amazing

teacher.

Lily, age 6

Mrs. Schlecht (kindergarten) because she was nice. And she made school fun.

Sarah, age 30

Mr. Reed, was my freshman and sophomore college yearbook teacher. He would

always start to class by breaking the ice with a joke. He made it a very comfortable

environment!

Courtney, age 21

Mr. Thacker my 4th grade teacher made learning a very unique experience.

Atiana, age 17

Mrs. Donham, 3rd grade, she always had awesome art project and games for all the

holidays.

Lynsay, age 20

Mrs. Macarthur, 11th grade English, because we never knew what to expect from her. She would always say the most random

things!
