What is the value in going???
@g.simn Challenge this year was eye opening and life changing. It was so cool to see God moving in 5,000+ lives of others in the teenagers today. Excited to see what God has planned in the future for our lives! Thank you Louisville, Kentucky @efcachallenge #livesent #challenge16
@bcefconeministries Awesome last day of #challenge16 - serving
at the Heuser Hearing and Language Academy was a blast! Thanks for letting us
serve you in Jesus' name! #livesent #weareone #bcefc #oneministries
@jimmystheman22 #challenge2016 was
incredible. Amazing to see a group get so close and come
together so fast. Time to make a real difference folks.
@gracemarkewell everytime I feel distant from God, He breaks
down my walls and reminds me how awesome He truly is and who I am in Him. coming together and spending time with
5,000 other believers never disappoints, and this week was no exception. I'm never ready
for Challenge to end, but I can't wait to go home and #livesent #challenge16
@pk.madds #Challenge2016 has come to an end. It has been incredible & insanely inspirational for me. Being apart of this event has definitely
let the Holy Spirit guide me into higher grounds & find strengths I never knew I
had. So blessed. #LiveSent #SeventhHour #CitizensAndSaints
what are people saying about Challenge?

Where: Kansas City, MO www.challengeconference.org
What is Challenge: Challenge Conference is a catalytic environment challenging students to live on mission with Jesus everyday, everywhere and with everyone. It is hosted every two years by Reach Students of the Evangelical Free Church of America and regularly gathers together over 5,000 students. The conference is centered on Jesus, builds a posture of “sent-ness” that moves students out toward others, and is saturated with prayer. Not only that, Challenge has a lot of fun elements too: Equipping Labs with a variety of topics to choose from, Recreation (volleyball, 9-square-in-the-air, basketball, ultimate frisbee), and plenty of late-night options. Theme for Challenge: BOLD MOVES: IT STARTS HERE. “This generation of young people have a desire to bring change into the world coupled with the belief they have the capacity to do it. The problem is they lack a white hot why that is bigger than themselves or the shifting cultural fads of our day. At Challenge 2018, we will call students to see Jesus and to walk in the steps of his Bold Moves. We will call students to kneel to the authority of Jesus in a world where self has become the ultimate authority. We equip students to courageously stand for truth in a world that encourages them to be their own truth. We challenge youth to compassionately walk alongside others inviting them to surrender to Christ. Finally, we will ask students to lay down their lives to live for that which they cannot lose.” FUN DAY: On Saturday, July 7th we will head to Worlds of Fun / Oceans of Fun for a day of roller coasters, water slides, and French fries. After this, those staying for the EXTENDED trip will head to Bridge of Hope Community Church, and those not on the extended trip will head back home to Ames. https://www.worldsoffun.com/ Accommodations: We will be staying in The Kansas City Downtown Marriott which is a block away from the Convention Center. Housing will be 4 students per room. Staffing: As with all of our trips we try to maintain a staffing ratio of one adult leader for every 5-7 students. Parents, please let Kyle know if you want to go on this or the extended trip! Who: Any current 8th through 12th grade student. When: July 2-7. We will meet Monday, July 2nd around 9 am and return at night on Saturday, July 7. (we will give more detailed times when it gets closer to leaving) How: We will travel by charter bus (CIT coaches). How do I prepare? We ask that… 1. Students, find 3 prayer supporters who will commit to pray for you individually throughout the week. We’ll
help with this on Commissioning Sunday (see important dates below). 2. Prepare your own hearts in advance, anticipating how God will use your gifts to partner with what He is
already doing. 3. Sign-up! J
July 2-7, 2018 Kansas City
How can I afford this? We know that by asking your student(s) to participate in this trip, it will be a big sacrifice of both time and money. We have worked hard to make this trip as affordable as possible without sacrificing quality and safety, and want to do everything in our power to help find a way for your kids to go. Monthly payments, and Super Savings Cards are ways that we want to partner with you in raising money for this trip. If funds are still short, then please talk to our staff and we will exhaust our resources to help your student go. We value this trip because we think it is a unique opportunity for your student to discover and use their gifts to benefit others. They will also have the opportunity to be discipled by the leaders and other students, away from their regular schedules. Can I raise money for my Challenge trip? Some students actually earn more money from our fund raisers than what the trip costs! Historically the average student who works at raising funds, raises about $200. The Savings Card that we offer, makes much more money than most of the other fund raisers we have done in the past. (If parents would like to organize a “sale” day, where we all gather and go out together, then let me know & we’ll assist in promoting it).
Feb.4 Hand out cards Feb. 11 Earn 80% of sales

they are PUMPED to buy a stack of cards (or just one) J - TIP #2: Keep track of the contact info for each person that buys a card, so that next year you can contact the same
group of people about buying another card Payment Schedule: Challenge (C18) & Extended (EXT)

EXTENDED TRIP: Kansas City, KS – July 8-12 This trip at the end of Challenge is for current 10th-12th grade students only. It is designed to offer a deeper

Bridge of Hope Community Church. We will be running a day camp for inner city youth. This will offer your students a chance to see God and work and to get their hands in the action!
