Introduction
A pilot project between GISTDA and Kasetsart University
Started in May 2004 Objectives
Explore the application of cluster technology for massive data storage and processing.
Explore the use of Grid technology to build a secure computing infrastructure that support GISTDA operation
WGISS #19 Plenary, CONAE, Cordoba, Argentina, March 2005
6 node cluster (AMD
Athlon 64) 1 Front-End 2 Compute Node 3 I/O Node
2 of 200 GB data disk
1 File server to be implemented at remote ground station
Infrastructure
WGISS #19 Plenary, CONAE, Cordoba, Argentina, March 2005
Expected Benefits
Reduce access time for large file using powerful cluster file server
Strong secure infrastructure using grid security
Building computing power for future applications
WGISS #19 Plenary, CONAE, Cordoba, Argentina, March 2005
Status & Update
Software are being integrated and tested on a small test system in the lab.
Some user interfaces such as web front-end are going to be implemented.
Storage cluster hardware are going to be implemented (within 03/05)
