NEWS FROM WENDY ADAMS, OUTREACH COORDINATOR Are You in Need of a “TRANSITION REFILL”? A transition refill/fill is a one‐time 30 day supply of a
drug that is no longer on your prescription plan’s list of covered drugs. If your prescription plan no longer covers or has new restrictions for an already existing prescription you are entitled to a transi‐tion refill. You have 90 days from January 1, 2016 to request a transition fill. Ask your pharmacist to request a transition refill from your Part D plan if your plan is no longer covering a prescription or has added new restrictions, such as prior authorization, quantity limits or step therapy. After getting the transition refill you will need to talk to your physician about switching to a different prescription that will be covered by your Part D plan. Together with your physician you may need to ask the plan for an exception, which is a formal request to cover the drug, if no other prescription will work for you. You also could contact Wendy or Fran, you may be able to switch your Part D Plan.
Prescription Drug Costs too High? Look into the Extra Help program from the Social Security Admini‐stration! You may be eligible to apply for Extra Help in meeting prescription drug costs … and you can be a homeowner and still potentially qualify for this program. Benefits for 2016 include drug co‐pays as low as $2.95 for generics and $7.40 for brand name drugs. An Extra Help application can be completed anytime during the year. If you want assistance or want to apply, contact Wendy or Fran at 508‐894‐1262.
JOY EASTER DRAWING Easter Basket of food and a $25 Gift Certificate from Trucchi’s Supermarket. Tickets are $1.00 each. The drawing will be held on Thursday, March 24th. Food donations are accepted & appreciated.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY WORD FIND
Two Irishmen Two Irishmen, Patrick Murphy and Shawn O'Brian grew up
together and were lifelong friends. But alas, Patrick developed cancer, and was dying. While on his deathbed, Patrick called to his buddy, Shawn, "O'Brian, come 'ere. I 'ave a request for ye." Shawn walked to his friend's bedside and kneels."Shawny ole boy, we've been friends all our lives, and now I'm leaving 'ere. I
'ave one last request fir ye to do."O'Brian burst into tears, "Anything Patrick, anything ye wish. It's done."
"Well, under me bed is a box containing a bottle of the finest whiskey in all of Ireland. Bottled the year I was born it was.
After I die, and they plant me in the ground, I want you to pour that fine whiskey over me grave so it might soak into me
bones and I'll be able to enjoy it for all eternity." O'Brian was overcome by the beauty and in the true Irish spirit of his friend's request, he asked, "Aye, tis a fine thing you ask
of me, and I will pour the whiskey. But, might I strain it through me kidneys first?"
