Academic Program
Workshop Method for Academics provides all students with individualized instruction.
•Reading and Writing Workshop is supported by America’s Choice Professional Development.
•Everyday Math from the University of Chicago is supported by consultants directly from Everyday Math.

•Social Studies Trade Books and Authentic Literature
•Smarter Balanced Assessments
PBS (Positive Behavioral Support) is a research-based combination of practices that creates a positive school climate in which students can achieve behavorial and academic success. Students learn appropriate behaviors through instruction, practice, feedback, and encouragement. With consistency in behavior expectations, students learn that there are both consequences and rewards for their choices.
Spring into Character focuses on four school rules:

Social Emotional Learning
Snack and Birthdays
Children are encouraged to bring healthy snacks from home to eat in their classroom. Snack is in the afternoon.
Parents need to notify the nurse if their child has any food allergies.
Children are invited to bring in cupcakes to celebrate their birthday.

The After School Program is designed to meet the needs
of working parents by providing a safe & stimulating
environment. The programs utilize the cafeteria, gym,
and/or the outdoor playground and other available
facilities in the public school buildings.
