Accelerated Reader
•At least 30 minutes nightly•Record the book title and sign•Reading intentionally, on level, is most effective for improving reading•Check progress on Renaissance Home Connect

Homework
Spelling: Each student receives an individualized spelling list based on a practice test taken with a spelling inventory list. (Spelling tests are given every Friday)
Math: Homework consists of math workbook pages and math games. Each student is given the homework every Monday and it is due by Friday.
Discovery Education: Online assignments for each subject will be given for students to complete beginning with Literacy on 10/1/12 (only one subject area per week)
Read 30 minutes every night and write the title of the book in agenda.
Projects: Two projects are given in second grade. Goods and services project: (December) Insect project: Identify the body parts of insects (Springtime)
