• PSLE Oral Students will report on both days – one day for
English Language, and another day for MotherTongue Language.Reporting time will be given later – there will be
2 reporting time (one at 7.15am, and another ataround 9.15am. The group reporting at 7.15amcan only leave the school at around 10am to10.15am. The group reporting at 9.15am canleave the school once the student has finished theexamination.)

PSLE Matters • For Oral, there will only be make-up
given if the student produces a validmedical certificate from a medicalpractitioner that the student is not fit forexamination*.
(* if the student is unwell on Day 1 of the Oral, the studentwill sit for both EL and MTL Papers on Day 2. If the studentis unwell on Day 2, there will be a make-up on another day[for Day 2 paper] to be made known later.)

• PSLE Listening Comprehension Students will report to school by 8am and go
home after they have completed both papers (usually at around 12 noon)

• PSLE Written Papers –Students will report to the school at 7.15am in
the morning.Students will go home after the end of the
examination. They will not need to stay in schooluntil 1.30pm/2.30pm.
• On all the PSLE days – all students must wearthe full school uniform.

PSLE Matters • Please note that there will be NO make-
up examinations for the PSLE – ListeningComprehension and Written Papers.
• Thus, students must take care ofthemselves throughout.
(Note: Students are encouraged not to be absent for theCA, SA1 and Preliminary Examination in preparation forthe rigour for the PSLE)

PSLE Score• PSLE Score is based on the aggregated T-score
of the students.• All 4 subjects are given EQUAL weighting at
the PSLE.

Release of PSLE Results & Posting
• Release of PSLE results - usually within thefirst week of the November school holidays.
• Choosing Secondary Schools can be doneonline.
• Posting to Secondary Schools - Posting will bereleased some time before Christmas
• Report to Secondary Schools – this will takeplace the day after the posting results isreleased. Students must report in person.

• Parents are advised not to make any travelplans around the 2 periods of time (Nov –release of PSLE results and secondary schoolsoption, Dec – posting and reporting tosecondary school)
• Parents have to assign a proxy using the proxyform if they are not in Singapore during theoption exercise and reporting to secondaryschool.

Choosing Secondary Schools• All students will receive an information
booklet on “How to Choose SecondarySchool” after the PSLE.
• The school will arrange for secondary schoolsto talk the students after the PSLE.
• Parents can refer to secondary schools’websites for open house information.

• Under DSA, schools may admit studentsusing criteria other the PSLE results.
• It is to allow for a more diverse range ofstudent achievements and talents to berecognised.

A word of advice• Do not sign up for too many DSA schools. Make
sure that your child is willing to commit to theareas of admission under the DSA domains.
• Students must still continue to do their best forthe PSLE
• Once the offer is given and student accepts theoffer, student is NOT eligible to participate in theS1 Posting Exercise. No appeal will beentertained.

Choosing Secondary Schools• All students will have to make 6 choices (if the
student has received a confirmed offer underDSA and has exercised the option, the studentwill not be eligible to select secondary schoolsafter the release of the PSLE results).
• Parents and students will usually be given 5 –7 working days to make their choices.
Posting• Posting to a secondary school is strictly by
merit.
